Could someone be kind enough to clue me in as to how to set "Logon hours allowed?" I've only found one instance of even referencing this topic:

And even this guy got no answers. This is my workstation output:

still problems to join domain with W2Ksp2
Hi,
what I've done:
Installed Redhat 7.2 and Samba 2.2.2 from rawhide.
Configured samba as a PDC and WINS-Server.
Added Useraccounts and Mashineaccounts for my NT4SP6a-Users and -Systems.
The NT4 Systems can join the domain, the Users can access the shares.
Installed W2K with sp2 on an testsystem.
I can access the shares with different users.
I added the mashine account for the testsystem

Proper unix ownership/Permissions for top level share
I am using zfs on linux to store my file shares on. When I create a new
file system, they have the following permissions:
[root at server ~]# zfs create tank/testsystem

drwxrwxrwx+ 10 root root 27 Jun 2 20:10 Software
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 2 Jun 3 07:43 testsystem
At this point, if I use the rsat and attempt to set ACL, I get

LDAP: Connection appears to be hanging, reconnecting
Hello List
I have a strange problem here which i try to analyse, but i'm stuck.
Maybe someone has a hint?
What happened:
A few weeks ago one of the LDAPS Servers which is not maintained by us
has crashed. From that moment on, users could still login to check their
emails, but they were not able to send any email through postfix (which
uses smtpd_sasl_type = dovecot)

Vista password being rejected on share security mode
I'm working on trying to get Samba 3.0.23c to work with Vista and I've run into a snag. If a share is set up for security = share, and protected with a password, when I try to mount the share using Start->Run->\\server\share, the password is rejected by Samba for about the first 10 seconds, but after that, it lets me in. I've tried all the common suggestions such as changing

slow opening of files / make_connection: connection to IPC$ denied due to security descriptor.
Hello all,
Some pc's in the network have big troubles opening files that reside on
the server. Opening a word or excel file may take over 30 secs. Copying
the file to the desktop takes less than a second.
However, searching for this problem on google didn't give me any
solutions yet. Any idea's what the problem is?
Also, in my logs I see a lot of these 'connection to IPC$ denied

bug in 3.0.14a source/smbd/service.c:make_connection
Hi,
I have found a bug in the version 3.0.14a of samba in
source/smbd/service.c function make_connection line 614.
Between 3.0.6 and 3.0.14a someone changed a 'stat' call
in 'SMB_VFS_STAT', but this cannot be called before the
SMB_VFS_CONNECT that is much later in the function.
This breaks any VFS module where stat relies on data
established in CONNECT like in my database

make_connection: connection to IPC$ denied due to security descriptor after upgrade
Hi All
I've been using samba for some time as a PDC in our company. Everything
was alright till I upgraded samba
from 3.0.22 to 3.0.24 (and to 3.0.26 later). Now I can't log in to

colorized logfiles in asterisk 1.6.0.6
Hello !
I've upgraded our testsystem from asterisk 1.4.21 to asterisk 1.6.0.6.
We 've noticed that the log files are now in colour.
I could not find a note in the upgrade section about this.
Is this a feature or a bug ?
It might be usefull to have them not in colour.
best regards

how to handle logging
Hello,
I plan a migration to dovecot and have concerns about the amount of logged data.
On a testsystem dovecot produced 1TB syslog per day with a comparable amount of pop3 sessions.
The current server log to STDOUT which is connected to multilog
(circular buffer, http://cr.yp.to/daemontools/multilog.html)
That way I can have a look at the last activities to any time.
I like to have that in

VFS module core dump in make_connection
Hi,
I have a problem with a VFS module that I am developing. The module
has been runing fine under 3.0.6, but then I didn't have time to work
on it for a while and meanwhile I upgraded samba to the latest sarge
debian release 3.0.14a and now that I have got the sources and again
recompiled my module and included it into the /usr/lib/samba/vfs dir,
its now core dumping. I am sort of at loss

change SOA record
Hello list..:-)
i have a little problem and don´t find a solution for it.
Some time ago our first DC died and I replaced it with a new one with a
different name but the same IP.didn´t want to change the DNS entry in
all the clients.
Guess since than the dynamic DNS update wasn´t working anymore, so I
tried to find out the reason.
What I found is that the SOA record was pointing still to the
