Ex.
My envirment set the 'CC=mipsel-uclibc-gcc'

TC: Simple and complex configs interplay
Hello,
From a user perspective, the simple (tcpri) and complex TC configs
offers two rather distinct choices. A user can very well be OK with
only using the simple way and that''s very fine. Then again, even in
doing so, the more complex config options are available. What is the
interplay between the two as far as having some parameters configured
in both at the same time ? So far

OpenSSH: multiple vulnerabilities in the new PAM code
This affects only 3.7p1 and 3.7.1p1. The advice to leave
PAM disabled is far from heartening, nor is the semi-lame
blaming the PAM spec for implementation bugs.
I happen to like OPIE for remote access.

Rails Vs JBoss Seam
I have been frustrated with J2EE technology just like any other developer who has worked in that
technology for a long time. This made me learn about Rails and I was excited about RoR. Today I
came across JBoss Seam framework and I am not able to contain my excitement.
My passion for JEE development is back. It seems like it is better than RoR. I would like to hear
differnt opinions about this

GlusterFS as underlying Replicated Disk for App Server
Hi All,
We have a requirement for a common replicated filesystem between our two
datacentres, mostly for DR and patching purposes when running Weblogic
clusters.
For those that are not acquainted, Weblogic has a persistent store that it
uses for global transaction logs amongst other things. This store can be
hosted on shared disk (usually NFS), or in recent versions within an Oracle
DB.

Logging specific Classified packets
Hi All,
I''m not convinced I have my tcrules correctly setup and looking at the
counters in the mangle table''s tcpost doesn''t really help much as I can''t
tell what is the final match.
Is there a way to match packets in iptables based on the classifier? i.e.
so I can LOG packets classified with 1:18 for example.
I can''t see anything in iptables, except

General question about 'smbclient'
As above,
From what I understand (also obvious from the package name) is that
'smbclient' is only a client.
You can browse shares or use it for troubleshooting. Does it have any
affect on the actual samba server?
I mean does this package have to be installed in order for a samba
server to work properly?
It seems to be that this package can be removed, I just want to make
sure that

[LLVMdev] Preserving BBs of bitcode to target binary
Hi, all
I wonder whether I can preserve basic blocks of llvm-bc when it is compiled to the target(x86) binary.
for instance,
#llc --march=x86 test1.bc -o test1.s
#llvm-gcc -O0 -o test1 test1.s
then, can BBs from output binary of 'test1' find their correspondents from 'test1.bc' and vice versa?
What I eventually want to find out is 1-1 mapping of BBs between llvm-bc and

[LLVMdev] How to identify LLVM version?
Hi, all
I'd like to write a code that can build different codes based on LLVM version.
Like code snippets in the below.

PHINode *PN = Builder.CreatePHI (Type::getDoubleTy(getGlobalContext()), 2, "iftmp");
#elif __LLVM_28__
PHINode *PN = Builder.CreatePHI (Type::getDoubleTy(getGlobalContext()), "iftmp");

JavaScript book recommendations
No, not a question, but a few suggestions.
I take it that everyone serious about using Prototype & Co. already has
Christophe''s (Porteneuve) Prototype and Script.aculo.us book. Apart
from that, I''d like to point out two new, library-agnostic books:
Cameron Adams and several others

shell scripts in R
Hi,
How can I execute some scripts from within R.
I have a large data file which I process (for instance with gawk, but not
only) before performing some statistics.
I would like to do this in R, so that I do not have to save many data files
and then making analysis on them (which proved to be unefficient)
Thank you

ownership & ssh
Here's another easy rsync question (I am trying to make sense of
some stuff): Let's say I have this burp file, which I set the follow
uid/gid:
raub@kushana-13>ls -l burp
-rw-r--r-- 1 nobody4 noaccess 44800 Feb 18 13:07 burp
raub@kushana-14>
When I move it to katri, since it does not have those uid/gid defined, it
just spits them out as the appropriate numbers (that were

help with predict.glm, and charting with factors
Dear R Wizards,
After much frustration and days of confusion I have finally broken down and
am asking for help, which I don’t like doing, but I just can’t figure this
one out on my own. I’ve conducted a laboratory experiment testing the
effects of temperature and salinity on whether or not a biological event
will occur (Go or NoGo). I’ve coded the factors temperature and salinity
as factors for

adding machines to the domain with Samba 3.0.0
Is there something special I need to do to let root add computers to the domain in 3.0?
When I try to add the workstation I get an error about 'user not found' even though I can
logon to a workstation joined to the domain as 'root'. I was able to add computers to the
domain with 2.2.8 with an 'add user command' entry and 'domain admin group = root' in my

Centos 5.1 DomU on Debian Etch Dom0
Hi Centos users
I successfully installed a Centos 5.1 DomU on Debian Etch Dom0. I used
the virtual file systems from Jailtime[0]
How to this manual (without using Jailtime)? I wish to install from
Scratch. Xen-tools/rpmstrap doesn't work for me.

Selector syntax error on Debian Etch
Hi all,
I''m having problems making some manifest work, and it''s so simple that I
don''t know where the issue is:
I get this error message when trying to load this vhost.pp file: "Could not
retrieve configuration: Syntax error at ''}'' in file
/etc/puppet/manifests/classes/vhost.pp at line 9"
define vhost ( $domain, $admin, $docroot, $enable )
