smbd Process Changes Ownership - lsof output
Hi, When using lsof, I see that smbd changes ownership from the actual user who made the connection, to root. Also seeing odd behavior with certain files accessed from XP boxes suddenly becoming "read only" to the user mid edit, and appears to be related. Ex: lsof output at 8:45 AM: smbd 11987 user1 cwd DIR 253,3 4096 704687 /home/Shares/Groups within a

Excel Read only file bug back on 3.0.23x?
Hi, I believe that the BUG 2346 which was resolved in samba 3.0.14 has come back in the 3.0.23 series. Here is what I have noticed on two separate configurations. The samba packages were built on each machine using rpmbuild with the SRPMS provided for Fedora in the samba web site. Configuration 1. Two machines running with RHEL4, samba 3.0.23b-1, drbd-0.7.21 protocol C. Kernel:

again on file corruption
Hi, I've posted the same problem several months ago, You can find my post there: http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2006-March/119244.html I summed up all the whole thing: I run a samba server based on slackware 10.2, using samba 3.0.20 with two clients: a windows 98 box and a windows 2000 box. I've got a share between the two system which hosts an old spreadsheet program (quattro pro)

Request for Feature: Debug IP List
Hi, It would be very useful to have a parameter(s) that allows a list of IP addresses, for which verbose debugging takes place. This would be extremely helpful for tracking odd cases that do not occur consistently, and for troubleshooting machine-specific issues. example smb.conf entries: debug ip list level = 10 debug ip list = 192.168.0.151 192.168.0.136 Ideally this would be available

FC6 and winbind separator ignored?
I'm trying to join my FC6 box to our Active Directory domain. For the most part the setup was pretty straightforward, but it just doesn't seem like winbind separator is being honored. When I do a 'getent passwd' I get the following: AVWORLD\johnXXXX:*:16782801:16777216:XXXXXXXX:/home/AVWORLD/johnXXXX:/bin/bash

Problems with heatmap.2
Hi When I give the command: > heatmap.2(as.matrix(d),Rowv=as.dendrogram(hc.gene),Colv=FALSE,scale="row ",trace="none",col=greenred.colors(79)) The resulting heatmap has re-ordered my columns! This is time-course data, and I don't want my columns re-ordered! Note from the help: Rowv: determines if and how the _row_ dendrogram should be reordered.

Nested partials losing the view context ?
Hi all ! I can''t seem to make a simple thing work... The code is here: http://pastie.caboo.se/130660 Essentially, that''s a form with a couple of partials. The backtrace is included in the pastie. It looks like the context for the current view is lost when a partial is rendered. In _series.html.erb:2, I use "series" to get the name. This is the parameter I

losing validation error messages
Hello all, I am pretty new to Rails and have recently started on a simple project with it.. I have a simple home_controller and home/index.rhtml page that displays a login/registration form. The login/registration actions are handled by users_controller.rb. register action in users_controller always redirects back to :controller => "home", :action => "index".. The

Monitor recording losing sync
Hi, I'm using Monitor to record every call is made but I have the problem that channels are out of sync, for example when some channel ask for something the answer is heard before the question has ended. The relevant line with Monitor in the dialplan is: [root at asterisk1 ~]# asterisk -r -x "show dialplan" | grep Monitor Monitor(wav49|${CALLFILENAME}|m) [pbx_config]

samba on solaris losing trust to domain
Greetings, I've been having problems lately with samba on Solaris 9 losing the trust with the domain. It seems to be occuring daily lately. If I net rpc join it joins and works for a while, and then stops working again. The /usr/local/samba/private/secrets.tdb does not seem to change when it loses the trust, until it is rejoined, which is what I would expect. I am using a default

Losing registration - ast 1.4.39 and innomedia 6328-2Re
All, I'm having a problem with an Innomedia 6328-2Re (old Sunrocket Gizmo). It keeps losing registration after a period of time ranging from a few minutes to a few hours. It seems that right before it loses registration, it fails to send a second register (after the 401 unauthorized). Here's a transcript from wireshark (at the end). The last message is all that's received and

R-beta: losing attributes in binary ops
Thanks to Thomas Lumley for the very quick fix of the NextMethod(.Generic) bug. The patch enclosed in his message to r-help fixed that problem nicely. But..., I've got another one. x <- 1:4 attr(x,"foo") <- "bar" attributes(x < 4) returns NULL. The "foo" attribute has been lost in the "x < 4" operation. The blue book says that the

[LLVMdev] OT: intel darwin losing primary target status
Nick, So is this basically a depreciation of libgcc for darwin10 and later? I was wondering about that very issue awhile ago (as in what exactly what relationship clang would have to libgcc). If so, perhaps the correct answer is to see if FSF gcc would accept changing the default build for darwin10 and later to not use the FSF libgcc and instead move any additional symbols into a libgcc-ext.

[LLVMdev] Losing Attribute information during inlining
Hi, Since Attributes are related to arguments and return values, inlining of a function causes in some cases to lose information such as NoAlias. Consequently, this hurts in some cases the precision of alias analysis. Is there a special reason why this information is not maintained? Is there a motivation to extend LLVM to maintain this information? Thanks, Ohad

Team Fortress 2 losing priority/ how to fix?
Specs: Ubuntu 10.10 64bit Nvidia 260 GTX driver ver. 260.19.44 4 gig ram onboard sound wine ver. 1.3.16 So TF2 runs great, in dx9 mode its all good. THAT IS until something pops up on my desktop in the form of a notification or if I needed to alt+tab to something. I'm running it windowed at 1280x800 through the steam interface, the winecfg is not configured to run in a simulated desktop
