Storing Profile remote on Samba PDC only works for one user
Hello, actually I am trying to implement a samba PDC server with a LDAP backend where user are authenticated with. Additionally the users' profiles should be stored on it, whicht only works for one user, not the 3 other. The point is, I don't see the difference between them so it should work for all or none. This is what I have in my smb.conf regarding this: [global] logon

Slow performance
I have been fighting this problem for months now. My performance under Samba and XP has ben umbearable. The scenario is running Samba 2.2.7a under SuSE 8.0 as a PDC. The XP machine logs onto Samba and the roaming profiles are downloaded then stops for 15 minutes or so. The network is verified 100Meg full-duplex, FTP transfers between the machines are robust and so no problems in connectivity. Any

samba 3.5.6 as PDC & LDAP - roaming profile problem
Hi all; for few weeks I'm trying to implement a new samba PDC server for my school. It is based on debian squeeze and samba 3.5.6 with lDAP backend. I was able to join a computer into domain, LDAP is working, mapping home drive for users also. It seems that almost all works good but with one exeption. The one thing which is broken is roaming profile support. When user is logging into domain

Windows clients aren't synching profiles
Hi. I used to have samba set up on a Fedora Core 3 server that acted as a PDC for a dozen Windows XP clients. I hade roaming profiles working fine. Then I decided to upgrade (reformat) to Fedora Core 6 for the added harware support. I didn't save the right files and hosed my roaming profile (SID issue, I guess). Now I'm remaking the PDC on Fedora Core 6. I'll start everyone off

Hi, I have roaming profile issue on my SAMBA PDC with an LDAP backend running on FreeBSD 6.3. It seems that randomly, user's profile get "corrupted" on windows XP. Guild Wars 2 hangs on start
Hi, I would appreciate any help with getting Guild Wars 2 to run on Debian Linux (KDE, testing). When I hit the "Play" button on the start screen, the music starts to play but the GW2 window only shows the underlying console window. It just sits there and has to be killed manually. More problems with samba 3.0.23c and NT4
Hi everyone! I have some trouble with samba 3.0.23 as PDC for NT4 workstations with SP6a. I have upgraded from samba2. 1. The ntconfig.pol from the netlogon-share does'nt work. I get a prf1.tmp in the User-Profile-Folder and the policy wouldn't mix to the registry. In the Event-Log I found an entry "RegLoadKey ist mit dem Fehler 87 f?r C:\WINNT\Profiles\aba\prfD.tmp

Roaming Profile gets deleted
Hi there, I try to move our W2K Domain to samba. I managed to dump a list of the old users with its SID's and created them on the samba domain which has the same sid like the old W2k domain. Then the users should be able to use their old roaming profile without changing the profiles sid. This works if the computer which acesses the domain has already the profile on its disk. If the

Home drive and logon scripts intermitently not applied
Hi folks, This problem has been driving me nuts for the last 3 years... Now I am running Samba 4.0.9 but the very same was happening before the migration to AD, with Samba 3.x. Most clients are running WinXP SP3 with all updates. The problem is that both the logon script and home drive defined on the "Profile" tab on the AD Users and Computers MMC, *RANDOMLY* and *INTERMITENTLY* does

Roaming profiles and case sensitivity
Hi, Yesterday I found big problems concerning my roaming profiles. They seem to work on some computers where they are always used, on some other the did not load properly (i.e. a default profile was loaded instead). After some debugging with userenv.log I found the very strange problem: case sensitivity for ntuser.dat!: [...] IsCentralProfileReachable: Testing <F:\testuser\ntuser.dat>

XP roaming profile problem (access denied)
Hi! I was hoping someone had seen this problem, and might be able to help me out with it; I've tried the suggestions I found in the mailing lists and on web sites, to no avail. I'm running samba 3.0.2 on RHEL 3, and XP clients seem to occasionally have problems saving the roaming profile, resulting in error messages and the use of the local profile. The problem is when renaming

[LLVMdev] Possible change to ExecutionEngine::create()
Hi Daniel, In my case ExecutionEngine::create() loads 40 modules, then each time I try to resolve a symbol that I know is in a DLL that I supply, it looks through all 40 modules first. This is on Windows, so I get the following modules loaded: ntdll.dll, kernel32.dll, USER32.dll, GDI32.dll, SHELL32.dll, ADVAPI32.dll, RPCRT4.dll, Secur32.dll, msvcrt.dll, SHLWAPI.dll, ole32.dll, OLEAUT32.dll,
