trouble with GDM -- linux client to samba
Hi all, As an experiment I'm trying to log into a samba server (3.3.2) from GDM. Both systems are running Ubuntu 9.04 and LDAP is not involved. But it's not working. The test user credentials are donkey/donkey . On the client: # net rpc join -S 192.168.0.1 -U root Enter root's password: Joined domain LAB-SAMBA. # wbinfo -t checking the trust secret via RPC calls succeeded #

slow speeds with Windows 10
Hai, My advice would be get a cable tester. Or see if you can loan some cable to test, with what your saying im almost sure you have a bad cable/connector/ethernet port somewhere. And check if you synoligy supports gigabit networks and put in a gigabit swich. Then see if you wifi is still faster then you ethernet. If you model is a 1xx, what happens when you disable https? DSM version is?

HTB / ingress diffrence
Hi I have outgoing speed 128kbit and 5 users. So I want to cat outgoing traffic to 50kbit per user. The best Idea is make HTB queue 10kbit ceil 50kbit but one user (the Donkey one :) ) who using P2P take all the outgoing band. When I make HTB is trafic was very low Donkey doesn''t get any data or take only a little, outgoing traffic was about 1-2K, but In HTB trafic I have full outgoing

That patch I have on it was the one I submitted earlier which fixes the problem with the wrong arguments passed to snprintf in the avl code. That shouldn't affect sound. I'm fairly certain it's a

Friendly Reminder: Huge number of small files performance regression from 3.5.16 to 4.6.5 with identical smb.conf
Andreas, A few thoughts regarding your system 1) If it's a home system and you're specifically concerned about mitigating CVE 2017-7494, (a) verify that your share isn't mounted 'noexec' - if it's mounted this way then you're safe (b) if not (a), then add the [global] parameter "nt pipe support = no". This will break functionality that relies on support for

write a png inside a pdf for large graphics?
I routinely write graphics into multi-page PDFs, but some graphics (i.e. plots of large spatial datasets using levelplot()) can result in enormous files. I'm curious if there is a better way. For example: #First, make some data: library(lattice) d=expand.grid(x=1:1000,y=1:1000) d$z=rnorm(nrow(d)) #Now, the PDF. The following produces a PDF that's ~50MB.

Opinion on different web server setups?
This is not directly a Rails question but you lot seem the best to ask... I have a strong feeling we will be developing future apps in Rails (Ruby fans are slowly starting to outnumber cynics in my office) so I want a web server plan that will be appropriate for that. We have just bought two new web servers I want to turn into a load-balanced, redundant pair. As well as any Rails

The problem is all my images over 10Mb will fail to load with memdisk.(test pc is a P4 2.4Ghz with 512Mb ram ) With Bochs, i'm using hard disk images and they're bootable in Bochs and well detected by memdisk but won't boot. I even tried to boot on some other support after a failling memdisk boot to see if there were the files i put in the hard disk image and they were here. If there

is ipp2p working (kazaa)
i am using ipp2p module (v 0.6) from http://rnvs.informatik.uni-leipzig.de/ipp2p/index_en.html I have tried it on kazaa and e-donkey connections. Unfortunately, I am interesting in limiting kazaa traffic, which this modules seems not to work right with it. (Kazza traffic is not identified most of the cases....). Has anyone tried this kazza bandwidth control???
