Can't mount FAT32 partition
I am trying to mount a FAT32 partition in CentOS.
I'm following the instructions on this page:
http://www.linuxforum.com/linux_tutorials/14/1.php
This is the line I put into /etc/fstab
/dev/hda /mnt/windows vfat

[Feature-Request] syslinux in linux kernel format
Hi
It would be pretty useful to have syslinux in linux kernel format so it
can be chainloaded easy and directly by other bootloaders such as grub4dos.

Strange errors when opening YVD 9.0 RC1
Hello everyone, I'm new to these forums (and to Linux, I just installed it a few days ago), so I hope I'm not doing anything wrong or forgetting something by posting this here.
First off, I'm using Ubuntu 8.04, and the program that I'm having trouble with is Yugioh Virtual Desktop 9.0, Release Candidate 1, Test Build 4 specifically. You can get the Beta 12 download (which you

Re: samba Digest, Vol 76, Issue 10
Dear List,
I wonder if somebody has a correctly working SMB service in Mac OS X
Server 10.5.x. I've got here lots of "This process has forked.." and
"Broken Pipe" errors as described in this post: http://www.afp548.com/forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=22295
Would be nice if a Samba-guru could point us to the right direction.
Thanks,
Alex

2GB limit patch
Hi all,
I was reading the discussion about this 1.3.0pre1 release on
HydrogenAudio and someone linked an old thread in which one patched FLAC
1.2.1 to support WAV-files larger then 2GB. It might be worth investigating:

[Fwd: Re: : Win XP Client does not remove directories]
Hello Mailinglist,
I still have the problem, which is described in my first and second post
with this topic, that i sometimes can't delete directories on the
Samba-Server from WinXP machines.
I can't send my Ethereal-Logs to the list, but i send them to Jeremy,
who never answered me anyway.
If anyone can help me or would like to see the Ethereal-Logs, with the
fact, that Windows

Hi @all,
Can someone please just confirm me, that Samba doesn't remove a
directory in case of a "SET_FILE_INFO"-Request for this directory?
The following abstract is out of an Ethereal-Log and shows a
SET-FILE-INFO-Request for a directory:

Regain play analysis patches
Hello Earl,
I used your patches while they cleanly applied to the Git tree. There is one question though, what do you think of?.
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=84086&st=0&p=782407&#entry782407
which apparently states (if I understand correctly) that your approach is not completely correct.
Kind regards,

flac alpha with RIFF/AIFF metadata support
just recently I have finished implementing support for saving
non-audio chunks in RIFF WAVE and AIFF with the FLAC file in
application metadata blocks, and restoring them when decoding.
you can read about more about it here:
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=56968
the zip file there has windows binaries; CVS HEAD has everything
checked in if you need a different platform.

Yes, that is correct. These functions are used to window the
audiodata, but only for the predictor stage. What these new

Would Xiph be interested in a logo redesign for Vorbis?
So, in a thread on HA a user asked if some logo was the official one for Vorbis. It turned out not to be, but everyone agreed the official logo was ugly and a bad idea to add on any portable player compilant with Vorbis (or other Ogg media for that matter).
The chaps, me included, started a discussion of a redesign, but truth be told, if Xiph isn't interested in a redesign, there's no

i move it to my hosting provider and try to get it working with apache + cgi,

hang indefinitely. nothing shows up at all in the
