Problem with 'net rpc group delmem' command
Hello everyone, I've been setting up Samba as a PDC with good success so far. I've run into one problem though, and that's removing users from groups using the 'net' utility. I seem to be able to add users to groups just fine using something similar to the following: net rpc group addmem "Domain Admins" bob If I then type: net rpc group members "Domain

Hello. I'm trying to convert a Samba server from 2.2.8.0 on AIX 4.3.3 to Samba Version 3.0.4.0 on AIX version 5.2.0. I have listed my smb.conf file from the old version below and was hoping someone could point to the changes I'll need to make on the newer version. Thanks so much Right now, the users are verified against an NT Domain and I'd like to keep it that way. I really

Installing windows drivers into print$ on OS X 10.5 Leopard
Has anyone had any success installing windows printer drivers onto a leopard-hosted print$ share? If I use the Add Printer Wizard method, if copies the driver files to \ \SERVER\print$\W32X86 then fails with an "Operation cannot be completed." If I use the rpcclient method I get a WERR_INVALID_PARAM error. Using the Adobe Generic PostScript driver as an example.

Hello list! On all my samba installations (3.0.20b) I can delete all unused printer drivers with rpcclient regardless which user name or password i use. Is this a general feature or might it depend on my settings? Thanks, Martin -- Martin Zielinski mz@seh.de Software Development SEH Computertechnik GmbH www.seh.de

Tables & Databinding
Hiya, I''ve recently been looking at removing the dependency in our CRM/CMS on MSIE XML Databinding so that it''ll run properly in Firefox.. The solution I''ve created uses the prototype.js lib so I thought I might share my efforts here if that''s ok? It''s still _very_ early days but there''s the beginnings of a writeup here:

Getting the commit message from Phabricator
I'm not sure if this is well known, but it helped me so I thought I'd share it with you. When committing to gitmonorepo, (with git llvm push) you need to have committed to your local repo first and so you need to have crafted your commit message from your the Phabricator revision. (e.g. D12345) Phabricator has the ability to give you this commit message it would have used, even if you do

Printer installation with imprints package
Hi, I have a samba 2.2.2 on HP-UX 11, serving a few printers. When I install a new driver via win2000' printer properties dialogue it works fine. When I try to do the same from unix with the imprints package, ist screwed. The driver files get uploaded, but they don't register as an installed driver, with rpcclient 'enumdrivers' I don't 'see' them. When I set the

Samba printing
Using samba 3.05 and the point and print features how does one setup tcp/ip ports for printing. After having loaded the print drivers using the APW all the printer ports show a local port on the samba server and all of my printers use a 192.168.10.X address. Is there anyway this can automatically happen without user intervention. I wasn't able to locate this info in the how to's.
