Automagic number of views/clicks?
Hey, Just wondering.. Are there are any automagic constructs in rails for keeping track of number of views/clicks associated with the record? For example, created_at and updated_at are automagically updated on edit/new actions, are there any similar constructs for clicks/views of the record? Thanks. Automagic creation of user a/c & homedir when I create a NT domai n user (???)
Has anybody got a script that auto-creates a linux user (...& hence a Samba home dir) when a user a/c is created on the M$ DC? eg, the way admins expect it to work in a homogenous M$ domain. I expect that the DC uses a form of RPC to create the home dir. This would have to be caught & fire off a 'useradd' script. ...but I might be completly wrong... -- Greg Cunningham BAppComp,

automagic blacklist
Hello list members, Over the past 12 hours my firewall box has had over 300 hits to port 1434 from numerous ip''s. I ran tcpdump on a couple of them and it looks like the ms-sql exploit attempt. I don''t use ms-sql. I''ve always gotten a few hits per day, but now it''s gotten out of control. I use logcheck to email the system logs to me and at this rate by the

Duplicate group mappings - which ones to delete?
I'm using Samba 3.0.21b on Debian linux using a tdbsam database as a PDC for domain ADADOM. I have a problem with duplicate group mappings and need to delete some, however, I don't know which one is being used. Is there a way I can find out which ones have no users assigned to them? Here's the sorted output of "net groupmap list". The last three are the issue. I only

Dovecot can't read mail, creates duplicate directories
CentOS 6.5, dovecot 2.0.9-7 I used http://www.linuxmail.info/postfix-dovecot-ldap-centos-5/ to configure LDAP authentication for postfix and dovecot. I can log in to dovecot via IMAP, but it cannot read messages. It does wind up creating alternate directories though: [joliver at localhost ~]$ sudo ls -l /var/vmail/ total 8 drwx------. 3 vmail vmail 4096 Sep 10 15:00 testuser1 drwx------. 3

Problems Solved, two left
And I think they're both small. Solved: tcpdump showed no packets coming in, so I went to my DID provider's Website to discover to my intense embarrassment that the DID number had been set up forwarded to their voicemail. I got egg on my face for this one. I changed that setting to SIP/IAX and packets now arrive and go where they should. Two problems remain. 1. Still can't

Re: nbdkit build failure in Koji
One thing I noticed which is a bit odd is: $ rm file; for f in {0..1023}; do printf '%1024s' .; done > file; stat -c "%b %B" file 2048 512 $ rm file; for f in {0..1023}; do printf '%1024s' . >> file; done ; stat -c "%b %B" file 3968 512 The second method is how we currently create the file. Since looking through the history there seems to be no

Help with CUPS, Windows, d/l print drivers
I've seen various posts to this and other lists about CUPS, Windows printing, and downloading of drivers for an IPP printer installed on a Windows machine, the printer being serviced by CUPS. I have downloaded the respective Windows 9x, 2K, and XP drivers from manufacturers' sites, and want to find a way to implement them to CUPS, so if anyone opts to mount a printer via http, the drivers

Dovecot writing to mailbox user@domain
centOS 6.5, dovecot-2.0.9-7.el6_5.1.x86_64 This is frustrating, because I had it working before... I could deliver an email to a user user at domain, then connect to dovecot IMAP and see the mail, no problem! Then I was told we had to use cyrus, and I was dealing with it for a few weeks. Now we're back to dovecot, and the last backup I had of that config has postfix delivering mail to

Was working fine before the upgrade 3. There are total 4 SIP trunks

Printer drivers on a samba 2.2.8a server: how?
I'd like to set up my samba 2.2.8a server to serve printer drivers to clients when needed. I have set up the print$ share, in which I still have no drivers. Tried adding drivers from a win2000 workstation by using "server properties" command, I can't add anything since all buttons are greyed out. The user I am using is in the printer admin group in smb.conf. I

SCCP problem with ATA188, Asterisk@home and chan_sccp
Hi, This is a message I already posted on the chan_sccp mailing list, but since this list has a lot of active members, I'm hoping someone might be able to help (And my problem is * related, so I guess it's ok if I post it here also ;) ). I'm trying to get SCCP ATA188s to run with Asterisk. The Asterisk box uses the latest Asterisk@Home image (Version 2.6). I have compiled and

multiple comparison tests & simultaneous multiple plots
I am not sure if my message made it through, so here it is again! Hi Rer's, R-1.1.0 I have two questions for you: 1) I am trying to complete a multiple comparison test after completing a one-way ANOVA on some data. I think this is pretty reasonable. aov(MetricSubset ~ GeneNameFactor) works pairwise.t.test(MetricSubset,GeneNameSubset,p.adjuxt.method=bonferroni,p ool.sd=FALSE)

WinBUGS14 and R
I'm trying to call BUGS from R. But it's not working. R freezes up and BUGS gives me a strange output in the log. Just to know, BUGS is registered. The modified date on the keys file is today (Dec. 9th). It should be fully registered so that I can use it fully. And, the BUGS model is syntactically correct. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Here is my BUGS model: model {
