Printing help from Windows XP
Hello,
I'm trying to get priting working from a Windows XP box to a printer
that's been shared via SAMBA.
I can browse the printer fine, and can print fine from linux, but not from
Windows.
The following errors appear in the SAMBA log for the windows host I'm printing from:
lp: unable to print file: client-error-not-found
lpstat: Unknown destination "level3-bw"!

Printing Problem with NT and Samba
Hi,
My network has samba 2.2.2 installed on Sun with lprng and NT 4.0
workstations.
Samba acts as PDC for these workstations. I am using priting through
samba. I am using 'disable spoolss = yes' option which means the drivers
are on installed on client side and are not downloaded from the server. So
all these printers (on Samba) act as Local printers on NT machines. As I

Sharing SIP Info with Realtime
I've asked this question several times before and was always told it wasn't possible. However, after reading a thread posted to the list today, I'm not so sure my question was understood.
So, here I go again...
Is it possible to have multiple Asterisk systems share a common realtime database for the purposes of accepting registrations from phones, and maintaining SIP location (ie

XO Callerid NAME
XO CAN supply callerid NAME on a NI2 PRI connection.
We have three of them and they work great. Its takes a little doing to
get to someone at XO that knows what they are doing
but XO does have some VERY good tech support people that know how to get
things done. It just takes a bit of work to
find them.
Outgoing CNAM is a different beast however. They can't take it via IE.

how to get the source for installed RPM (CUPS)
I would like to change a few things in CUPS, but I would prefer to use the source
for the version of CUPS that I already have installed using yum. Mostly because I'm
quite happy with the way it works except a few details.
Is there a way to get the source using yum or should I go to
http://www.cups.org/software.php and get it from there ?
The version I installed with yum is 1.1.22 and on

CUPS username case wrong from Windows 98 client
I have a problem getting Windows 98 clients printing to CUPS printers
where I have the printer access allowed/denied by username. It appears
that samba is passing the username in uppercase to CUPS as the owner of
the printjob and then CUPS does not recognise that username and rejects
the job. It all works under Windows NT/XP.
I am running samba 3.0.20 and cups 1.1.23. The smb.conf file is below

Hi
I''m currently using xen-3.0.2-testing on several servers. But when xen
3.0.3 was announced I wanted to try it, of course it should have several
iprovements and bugfixes, etc.
I did the same steps I was previously done in order to compile
xen-3.0.2, and in fact xen compiled and installed very cleanly.
I created my initrd image and then I

samba printing with cups driver and cups with non PS printers
Hello,
I just finished to read chapter 22 of the samba howto.
This chapter explains very well how printing from a win client via samba
and cups work.
If I understood it right, printing a file from windows to a non
postscript printer via cups driver, samba an cups works like this:
- application prints generating an EMF file ( windows spooler )
- the cups ( or adobe ) printer driver converts
