Hello, There is a printer at work (a Xerox WorkCentre 5325). I am able to print using the following command: smbclient //MyHiddenPC/MyHiddenShare -WMyHiddenDomain -c 'print my-hidden-file.pdf'. However, it does not work when I try to print through CUPS using the following command: lp my-hidden-file.pdf. In the CUPS error_log file, the only error I can read is: [Job 5] PID 27883

I have searched around the samba documentation, including the smb.conf man page, and have found nothing regarding the cups printing system except change printcap to cups. In my setup I'm running Samba 3.0.23d-19.2 and CUPS 1.2.7-12.1. Printing from a windows-client works fine, until I instruct CUPS to add a banner-page. The banner-page then is the only thing that gets printed. Doing the same from Linux everything works fine. I get my job including a banner-page. OK, I've tried changing my printcap name from printcap to cups. Printing works fine locally using CUPS on the Samba box. What am I missing here? Why can't I print to the Samba box via the Windows and linux clients? Shared directories work fine. I am really frustrated here and have exhausted Google and all other resources I have.
