rsync of file list
Hi All, I would to rsync data spread of many files from remote site. Each file may exist in total different location - the path for each file may be different. My question is: Can I do it one single rsync command, giving a file containing list of paths as parameter, or do I need to run rsync for each file. I did not find any option doing it in the man page. I tried to play with

problem in for loop
Hi all. I was having some trouble with a for loop and I found the problem is the following. Does anyone have some idea why I got the following R result? Since mone is equal to 3, why mu1 only have 2 components? library(MASS) > p0 <- seq(0.1, 0.9,by=0.1) > m <- 10 > > > p0 <- p0[7] > > ## data generation > > mzero <- p0*m > mone <- m-mzero >

samba-3.0.23a, get_dc_list failures
Tried upgrading a couple of working samba-3.0.22 boxes that are currently members of our ads domain to samba-3.0.23a. Before the upgrade: $ kinit foo@BAR.com $ net ads testjoin $ net ads join works fine. After the upgrade $ net ads testjoin $ net ads join both hang. So I tried $ net ads testjoin -d4 and found that it returns: [2006/07/24 10:12:27, 4] libsmb/namequery.c:get_dc_list(1502)

help with rle function on paired data
Dear R Community - I hope you might be able to provide some guidance regarding the use of the rle function. I have a set of time-series data where a measured value is recorded every 30 seconds after the start of an experiment. Many of the measured values repeat and I am interested only in the values when there is a change. If I turn the measured values into a vector, the rle function works

SAMBA Kerberos misunderstanding
I suspect I might be grossly misunderstanding kerberos and AD here, but I cant seem to grok the following. net ads join integrates my linux samba server (named foundry) into an AD domain and all works fine. The samba server is using the kerberos keytab. root@foundry:~ # kinit -k -t /etc/krb5.keytab foundry$ root@foundry:~ # kinit -k -t /etc/krb5.keytab host/foundry.example.local kinit(v5):

Winbind rid + SID History creating duplicate per-user groups
Since upgrading from Ubuntu 12.04 (Samba 3.6.3) to Ubuntu 14.04 (Samba 4.1.6), I've noticed some strange problems with our group mappings: First, each of our Active Directory users now has a corresponding group in Linux. I don't remember ever noticing this in Ubuntu 12.04 / Samba 3.6.3. Is this feature new? Is it documented anywhere? (I tried searching online and couldn't find

How do I delete multiple blank variables from a data frame?
Dear List Members,I have 55 data frames, each of which with 272 variables and 267 observations. Some of these variables are blanks but the blanks are not the same for every data frame. I would like to write a procedure in which I import a data frame, see which variables are blank, and delete those variables. My data frames have variables named P1 to P136 and Q1 to Q136. I have a couple of

Sipura SPA-841 auto-answer support [patch]
Sipura has implemented auto-answer in version 0.9.5 of the SPA-841 firmware. However, it is implemented via the Call-Info header, which Asterisk stable doesn't currently support. The attached patch implments a quick hack to support the Call-Info header from the Dial() application by way of setting the CALL_INFO variable. For example, the following macro can be used to dial up a single
