We defined a share, sales_cifs_test, on our NetApp server. Note that the length of the name is longer than 13 characters. We can see the share with Microsoft Explorer. We can mount the share from Linux using smbmount. What we want to do is to get a list of shares from NetApp. The tools that can do this are the samba programs smbclient and net. Smbclient will not show names longer than 13

Hi there, I just saw samba added the "net rpc service" for Win32 service management since 3.0.20, and it's fantastic. I used to use samba-tng to do this job, but now I can use samba! However, I also found it has limited usage. I cannot pass parameters when I start a service, and I cannot create a new service, too. Is there any plan for samba to extend this feature? -- Best

The best would be to directly open maximized windows with x11() but up to now I failed doing it. I tried different widths and heighs but I never managed to obtain a full screen window. Hi, I would like to (if possible) set the default width and height for graphs at the start of each session and have each new graphic device overwrite the previous one. I only know how to do this using windows(width=,height=...) which opens up a new plotting device every time, so I end up with lots of graphs all over the place until I get the one I want! If I set 'winbind use default domain' to yes, supposed the domain name is D1, a trusted domain D2, when I run wbinfo -u, what I should I get? I remembered I will get users like D1\UserOnD1 .....
