Hi Rowland, do you maybe have any idea what could potentially cause this bug? smbclient thrwos me back a mount error(5): Input/output error when I try to mount the remote smbFS. It doesn't happen with my MacOSx and Windows 7 as client but it happens with Linux OSs and with a Konica Minolta copy machine with a scanner to samba function. The first try to mount fails with the above error.

I needed to 'enlarge' my main filesystem (XFS backed-up), that contain my main samba share and a brick for a GFS share; i've setup a new volume (for the VM), formatted XFS, move all the file taking care to umount and stop GFS (so, syncing the brick, not the GFS filesystem) using --acls and -attrs rsync options. Hello. At a customer's site I had: _ Windows 2008 DC; _ Samba 4.8 fileserver on FreeBSD 11.3/amd64 on UFS; _ several Windows and Mac clients. Recently, having to move to Samba 4.10, I decided to bring up a new fileserver in a jail (and let the base 4.8 one die after transferring all shares). I have no problems with Windows clients, but several strange things are happening with Macs.
