Samba4 bug - "mount error(5): Input/output error"
Hi Rowland, do you maybe have any idea what could potentially cause this bug? smbclient thrwos me back a mount error(5): Input/output error when I try to mount the remote smbFS. It doesn't happen with my MacOSx and Windows 7 as client but it happens with Linux OSs and with a Konica Minolta copy machine with a scanner to samba function. The first try to mount fails with the above error.

I needed to 'enlarge' my main filesystem (XFS backed-up), that contain my main samba share and a brick for a GFS share; i've setup a new volume (for the VM), formatted XFS, move all the file taking care to umount and stop GFS (so, syncing the brick, not the GFS filesystem) using --acls and -attrs rsync options. Purge Trash Fileserver
Thanks for the answer. The problem that this way is pretty much the same as my find. I want you to be able to delete the file based on the date they were sent to the bin. As I gave in the example: The file has not been changed since 2015, when it is deleted now in 2017, it goes to the bin, dated 2015, when the find pass will erase, why it does not validate when it has been deleted, but the

Hi, I thought I should share this unusual behaiviour of samba 4.1.11. All of a sudden while I tried to delete a Folder via samba on a share it crashed. Troubles with Mac clients
Hello. At a customer's site I had: _ Windows 2008 DC; _ Samba 4.8 fileserver on FreeBSD 11.3/amd64 on UFS; _ several Windows and Mac clients. Recently, having to move to Samba 4.10, I decided to bring up a new fileserver in a jail (and let the base 4.8 one die after transferring all shares). I have no problems with Windows clients, but several strange things are happening with Macs.

Samba 3.4.6 - problems with vfs objects = recycle
Hi, I just upgraded samba from 3.0.37 to 3.4.6 on a gentoo machine. After converting the passwd file (pdbedit -i smbpasswd -e tdbsam) I tried to login from a windows client but it didn''t work. After commenting the vfs-recycle entries in the shares definition I could successfully login. I cannot find any hint that the vfs objects in samba 3.4 has changed. Can somebody help? Thanks in
