VC compile errrors on samba share, Win2K, after sp4
After I recently updated a win2k machine to service pack 4, I started
getting strange compile errors in Visual C version 6.0, when compiling
source files stored on a samba (2.2.8, linux 2.4).
fatal error C1001: INTERNAL COMPILER ERROR
(compiler file 'E:\8966\vc98\p2\src\P2\p2symtab.c', line 932)

--disable-long-double or --enable-long-double=no?
There's a bit of confusion about how to disable long double support in an R

I see --disable-long-double scattered about, e.g.

I presumed this was about a CRAN package, possibly hdf5r which has a
R-devel-only warning from the Apple clang compiler. And that is not a

Completely isolating P2P/BitTorrent traffic
Hi all,
I''m tring to isolate P2P traffic, specifically BitTorrent, for my QoS
scripts. I can''t seem to completely isolate ALL BitTorrent traffic.
I identify & mark packets and then use tc filters to put them into
appropriate classes. My firewall rules (below) do the markings. My VoIP
boxes'' and ICMP traffic get highest priority (mark 1). Then comes DNS, SSH,

Disk failure chokes all the disks attached to the failing disk HBA
Dear All,
It may be this not the correct mailing list, but I''m having a ZFS issue
when a disk is failing.
The system is a supermicro motherboard X8DTH-6F in a 4U chassis
(SC847E1-R1400LPB) and an external SAS2 JBOD (SC847E16-RJBOD1).
It makes a system with a total of 4 backplanes (2x SAS + 2x SAS2) each
of them connected to a 4 different HBA (2x LSI 3081E-R (1068 chip) + 2x

XP caching password
Dear All,
at first great job to all developers/programmers.
I am new to samba and I finally worked out how to set up a simple samba server, but one issue I still have a problem with. I know that it is maybe not a samba issue, but I think here is the only place where I can find help for it. So my problem is that XP caching the user/password when I once connected to a samba server. What I need is
