Cannot connect from XP to Samba: Password prompt repeated
Fellow samba folk, This one's making me want to tear out what little hair I have left. THE *NIX PLATFORM: FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE, Samba 3.3.8. Users can read/write to other user's directories
Hi, I am setting up Samba on my CentOS server and have Samba version 3.0.28-1.el5_2.1. I started configuring the smb.conf file and then went on to use webmin to configure it. I have made sure I have restarted Samba after making changes. When I connect from my Windows PC to the Samba server, I can read and write to other Samba user's directories. I can't rename any file/folder from samba clients.

avoiding local users

Samba + winbind :shared resource not found
Hi I have a Win NT4.0 PDC srv called "G1" and after I installed a Samba 3.0.5 into a FreeBSD 5.3 beta 5 box I choose winbind in the ./configure . Samba access to trusted domain
