Can' t delete printjobs spooled in cups
Hi, i learned a lot about cups, samba and printerdrivers the last few days and hours. I found a lot of mistakes but i can't change the following situation: I CAN NOT delete printjobs! I can connect to the printers, automatic download the driver, print, stop the printer, start the printer. Any tips, links, hints would be nice. My setup: Debian Sarge - Samba 3.0.14a - Cups 1.1.23. nss_ldap

"CREATOR OWNER" with samba
Hi all, I just saw that my users don't have the right to manage their own printing job (pausing, deleting...) . I saw that a "CREATOR OWNER" token seems to do this job, but i'm not sure how I can implement it with my Samba box. Because "CREATOR OWNER" doesn't seem to be a regular NT4 group. Has somebody any advice with it ? Cheers :) -- Joris De Pooter

cups / samba job control issue
Hi all, I am using cups 1.1.22 with samba 2.2.12 along with winbind, and samba configured as a domain member. For now I'm not able to switch to samba3. My problem is that users printing from windows are unable to control their jobs. Pause, resume or cancel do not work. In windows, the "error processing command" is returned. In cups, when viewing /var/log/cups/access.log, I'll

time problem in logs
Hi all, I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with my dates but I just can't figure out where the problem lies. Both source and destination box are set at the right time via ntp. I tried to split the logs so I could have a "per module log" with syslog-ng but I'm not quite there yet. Still, this is what I get when an rsync is run... The time starts right

Connecting to SAMBA shares
Hi I have just configured a test machine to use winbind and samba so that I users can authenticate against my Win2003 SP1 AD controller. Everything seems to work great but I cannot seem to access any SAMBA shares that are created on the Linux machine. I constantly get asked for my username and password. I am trying to connect to the SAMBA share from a Windows XP client. I am assuming that the

"map to guest = bad password" not working as expected
Hi all, I had been trying to use "map to guest = bad password" to map users from other domains to guest to allow only guest access. But when I try to access the samba server from another domain, I get an error saying that it is not authorized from that machine. I am attaching the smb.conf. Please let me know if I am doing anything wrong. [global] idmap uid = 70000-200000 idmap

copy old CF image to new CF device
I am using an 8G CF card. (I was using dd to duplicate the card with different size cards I was advised not to). So I wrote the script below which basically: 1) runs fdisk to setup the device 2) makes the ext3 file system and the swap 3) mounts my old image "/" filesystem and the new partition 4) tar and untar the directories 5) run grub on it 6) set label for "/" After I

Sendmail.cf / access.db
I've noticed from the sendmail logs, certain IP's are being blocked via the known spammers configuration in the sendmail.cf. What I also note is in my access file, I have several TLD's that are listed, yet are NOT being blocked. Yes, I do call a make after each edit of the access list, and going by the timestamp on access.db, it appears to being updated, yet again, in the sendmail

PCI-E CF adapter?
I know this is slightly OT but folks discuss zfs compatible hardware here all the time. :) Has anyone used something like this combination? <http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/default.aspx?EDC=1346664> <http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/default.aspx?EDC=1854700> It''d be nice to have externally accessible CF slots for my NAS. Booting Linux off a CF card
Hello, I am not sure if I am posting this question in the right place, so please forgive me if this is an error :) I am completely new to using Linux off a flash card, but I need to do it as a project for my office. We have an 8MB CF card, which is connected to my Linux box via an IDE adapter. I need to somehow make the system boot off the CF card and give me a shell prompt. I have managed to

Problems booting from CF
Hi everybody, It's my first time asking something here. I've a 128 MB Compact Flash and I tried to boot up a Linux mini distro from it. This distro worked previously from a floppy using syslinux, with the tipical initrd booting system. Now I'm trying to boot it from CF, but I can't. By other side I've another distro that boots from pxelinux that I want to make it boot from CF

[LLVMdev] Iterating thru CF edges in a CFG
Hi, I want to instrument every control-flow edge in a CFG. What is the best way to do this ? I was thinking of getting a reference to the CFG using GraphTraits<Function *>. Is there a simple way to get the CFG handle? Thanks.
