install errors for libguestfs-1.19.60
I've been using libguestfs-1.18.9 but decided to "upgrade" to 1.19.60. Using Ubuntu 12.04 with the older version installed via source. So I went through the same process with the new version of guestfs sources and got the following errors on 'make install': make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am'. make install-data-hook make[3]: Entering directory

Dovecot dies with PAM error?
Just setup a new server on the weekend with Ubuntu 8.10 beta, and Dovecot 1.1.4. Every now and then, the IMAP server dies, and won't let users authenticate. It happens about once or twice a day. In /var/log/mail.log, you can see dovecot complaining about critial errors: Oct 21 14:46:16 tachikoma dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<jason>, method=PLAIN, rip=127.0.0.1, lip=127.0.0.1, TLS

launch failure of appliance with nbd drive
I'm using qemu-nbd to setup the device with an offset into the image. Using libguestfs version 1.21.22 Code for adding the drive: char *server[] = { "localhost:3000", NULL }; if (guestfs_add_drive_opts (g, "" /* export name - see below */, GUESTFS_ADD_DRIVE_OPTS_FORMAT, "raw", GUESTFS_ADD_DRIVE_OPTS_PROTOCOL, "nbd",

does guestfs_list_partitions() work with Windows 95 images?
Hello, Been a long time since I broke out your libguestfs tools. Current employer has some old machines they want to virtualize before they croak. I was able to virtualize a Win2000 box but when I tried the same with a Windows 95 machine the call to guestfs_list_partitions returned null. I did make that image with a different tool (my linux box wasn't available so I wound up using Macrium

detecting extensions in use
Hi all, We've got a department that has 5 phones using a * 1.0.9 box. They need to have an extension that rings all 5 phones at the same time. Getting all of the phones to ring isn't a problem, but they are running into a problem with the phones ringing in their ears when they are already on a call. Example: Caller one calls the queue, all of the phones rings, and employee one

Cannot Authenticate to Samba Shares after switching laptop from wired to wireless nic.
I have a laptop that I need to be able to connect to my samba shares with its wired connection and its wireless connection. It works fine when connecting from the wired ethernet connection but it stops working once I disable the wired connection and connect to the wireless network (both networks are on the same subnet). The IP address for the wired connection is 192.168.1.112

The delimiter is configured in postfix but apparently not in your dovecot lda config I am not sure of the location of 15-lda.conf, however in my main dovecot.conf file I added "recipient_delimiter = +" The output of the lad part of "dovecot -n" is now > protocol lda { >

Problem with quota-dict
Hi, I wanted to migrate a mailserver from cyrus to dovecot. The new setup was using postfixadmin let the domain admins configure the hostet domains. To view the used quota in postfixadmin the usage of the quota dict backend is required. I have configured it according to the wiki but everytime I connect I get a sucessfully login and then every next command hangs. It seems to me, that the dict

restarting streamtranscoder w/ out killing listeners
Hi folks I'm running streamtranscoder on my icecast server. Unfortunately, after 5-15 minutes of transcoding, it sometimes produces jumpy/skippy audio or drops the stream altogether. What I'd like to do is restart streamtranscoder every 5 minutes. However, when I kill streamtranscoder and bring it back, all listeners on the stream get killed. How can I prevent this? In other words,

Proxy ARP and RH 7.2
I have tried unsuccessfully to run both Shorewall 1.2.x, 1.3.x with Proxy ARP on a Red Hat 7.2 machine. The machine was configured as the external firewall as per the ''belt and suspenders'' layout given at http://www.skippy.net/linux/firewall/ The firewall appeared to function correctly in all functions except proxy ARP, however I must say I did not test exhaustively. Over 400 smbd pid's?
Over the past 2 days, my smbd processes are multiplying worse than rabbits. At least with rabbits it's easy to tell why you wind up with so many... Here's the setup: Samba version 3.2.8-0.24 installed via rpm on a FC6 box with 2 nics, both on the same subnet. The samba server acts as a PDC in a mixed environment but mostly windows pc's running xp. It is used mostly for file

Getting Yoda unit to register all four ports
I have a sample of the Yoda VG400 and I am having a devil of a time trying to get all four channels to register to Asterisk. I have an Asterisk 1.2.1 server. I have tried adding one at a time and rebooting it, but it stops after the first. http://www.yoda.com.tw/model.php?type=Enterprise_VoIP&pname=VG400 Anyone had success with this? -- Chris Mason NetConcepts (264) 497-5670 Fax: (264)
