Asterisk and Fedora
Hello List,
I have been beating my head against the wall for a little while now
trying to get my TDM400 card to work with Fedora Core 4. Not a great
deal of success even after successful builds of zaptel and the other
required componentry. The machine doesn't even recognize the card.
Using Debian it was recognised but as a newbie to Asterisk most of

Samba share to access windows folders in linux.
Hi,
I am trying to access folders on a windows system on a linux system using
the command,
smbmount '//a.b.c.d/CCViews/abcd/abcd_Linux_dev' '/root/pqrs/LinuxDev' -o
username=abcd/<domain>,uid=abcd,gid=abcd
This prompts for a password and I give the correct domain password here. It
gives me the error:

Cannot connect to a windows network
Hello,
I am trying to use Samba to let me mount windows network drives on an
Ubuntu Dapper Server installation that I am using as a desktop.
Using:
testparm
my smb.conf seems to be ok.
Using
smbclient -L GM.local -U username -p
Gives me a full listing of all network drives, which again seems to be
good. So now I try this:
sudo mount -t smbfs -o username=username \//GM.local/DC4

How to mount a resource with non ascii chars??
Hi Samba Users,
After searching through recent archives, I'd like to pose this question:
How does one smbmount a Windows a share with non-ascii letters in the
share name?
Let's say the target is Windows 2000 Pro Deutsch (German).
It has two shares: /data and /d?ta [d,umlaut-a,t,a]
From Redhat linux 2.7.4 and 2.4.18 I try to mount these directories.
mount -t smbfs -o

Mappoing from Samba client to \\server\share\dir ?
Hi!
How do I create a mountpoint with smbmount, that attaches to
\\server\share\dir (on a Windows 2000 server) ?? If I mount to
\\server\share I'm not able to see anything - but the mapping to the same
server (from a Win2000 client) is okay, and I can see the contents of the
directory... Trying to map to //server/share/dir gives me an error:

Weird authentication difference between smbclient and smbmount
Hello
I already posted this in smb-clients, but seeing the load difference
I repost in the samba list.
I am currently using samba 3.0.10 with kernel 2.6.9.
In the doc one is encouraged to use 'security = user' level.
If I then connect with 'smbclient //machine/share -U myname%mypass' all works
well. But when I try to mount the share localy with
smbmount //machine/share

Looking for GSSAPI config [was: Looking for NTLM config example]
I think the problem still is that your keytab file has no entry
imap/hostname at DOMAIN and IMAP/hostname at DOMAIN
you also have no host/hostname at DOMAIN

SIP Registration Timeout, No FW
Hi people,
My asterisk wont register with any sip providers, I have tried three
different but they all end up with:
Sep 26 17:36:36 NOTICE[114696]: chan_sip.c:4035 sip_reg_timeout:
Registration for 'whatever@provider.tld' timed out, trying again
There is no firewall and my server has a public IP. Could this be a Asterisk
problem?
