I'm having a wierd problem with a Cisco 7960 (sccp2) and asterisk (1.4.2) If the call that I'm trying to make goes through, everything works fine. But if there's any sort of error (like me messing around in my extensions.conf, etc). I can't get the connection to drop. ie: If I get the conjestion tone and hang up the phone, I can do a sccp show channels I can see that the

Problem with Asterisk -> Welltech Wellgate 3502
Hi there I have some problems in setting up a connection between * and a Wellgate 1501 (1FXS). Either I can dial from * to my Wellgate or I can dial from the Wellgate to *. On the Wellgate you have to setup both "Line number" (which is the number it answers) and "Line account" (which is the account it registers as). Should I expect any problems if these are set the same?

kernel panic when booting with new lvm group/volume
I've added new volume group with single logical volume: pvcreate /dev/sdb1 vgcreate -s 32m xxx_vg /dev/sdb1 lvcreate -l 1234 -n yyy_lv xxx_vg and rebooted the server after it. When booting, the kernel panics with can't mount root file system. Looking at the console output, it seems all volume groups and all logical volumes on them were imported correctly. However, if I go to

patch for replacing non-printable chars in filenames
There's a bug reported in Debian about the tty being screwed up by wierd filenames, see http://bugs.debian.org/bug=242300 On the one hand, find will also do this. On the other hand, ls will replace such chars with a question mark. Upon inspection, it appears to be fairly simple to also do this in rsync (in the rwrite() function). Here's a patch. Opinions? Perhaps don't do it

SPA-3000 generating one-ring calls
This is a wierd one. Can't figure it out. I have an SPA-3000 at the house handling my incoming line. It's setup to direct the incoming call to asterisk. Works great 99% of the time. A few times a day, I'm getting calls that ring once internally and are then hungup. I managed to get a detailed log [1] of what's happening today and it looks to me that the SPA is acting wierd.

Computer members on AD are not identified and don´t have group mebership applied
I´m trying to set up a Fedora 27 server with samba 4.7 as a AD DC for a windows network. I followed the tutorial from the samba wiki and the arch linux wiki and currently have things working to the point where I can join windows machines, add users, create GPOs and apply them to users. The problem occurs when trying to apply computer GPOs. The windows machines just don't get affected by them.

problems accessing samba drives over a SLIP modem line
Hi, I have a wierd problem. Our samba server run on AIX and Solaris, and 1.9.16 or 17 (I think). Everything works fine on our local network. When people come in through an Ascend router using SLIP or PPP however things don't work quite so well. The wierd thing is that if the connecting machine is a Unix box, and there are other PC's on the network on the remote side, net view

Adding macros causes ringing to fail
Ok.. this is really wierd... I just cleaned up my dialplan a bit by adding some macros with a strange side effect... On my incoming context which has no macros in it, far end ringing used to work... now that I have macros defined, far end ringing has stopped working all together... The macros DO work, but when they transfer, the far end ringing sounds terrible and even skips a few rings... If I

Wierd Error "The directory name is invalid", Moving to 2.2?
Hello, I have samba setup as a PDC, user level security, and I have some wierd errors on Win2k clients (I know they cant join the domain etc). In a nutshell, when i double-click a file such as: \\server\share\x.txt in explorer, it gives a "The directory name is invalid error". I can, though, do a sendto->notepad and it works fine. I also can file|open->file in notepad. This

wierd duration shown in progress with 0 byte files
While trying out the 2.6.4-pre2, I noticed something wierd with --progress; it shows: ads/promotions.MYD 0 100% 0.00kB/s 519:35:46 (61, 56.3% of 597) This is quite reproducable whenever an empty file is transferred (or created on the receiving end). Commandline used was: rsync -zave 'ssh -c arcfour' --progress --stats --delete lisa:/var/lib/mysql/ . BTW, this also

Odd Values For Powercoms
All, I'm using the Powercom driver from 2.2 (not the one recently mailed to thelist). Since it's a KIN2200AP, I'm using the driver settings right from the manpage. All the values look "sane" when I'm on-line, but note some of the odd values (<-- Here) when on battery: Also, does anyone know if this UPS supports logging of the "boost" or
