X100P Wildcard - Hassle free clone?
Now that the X100P is no longer being offered by Digium, what is the best solution? I seem to have run into a few posts where people talk about problems they've had with their X100P clone cards (dropping calls, echos, etc) other people seem to not have any problems. Of the three chipsets that will work: Intel 537EP, Ambient MD3200, and Motorola 62802 (as seen here

Kerberos Principal
Hi all, I’m looking to add in a kerberos principal on my server for the AD domain. I see there are ways to do this for user(s), but I don’t see how to add a principal for hosts. In general, I’ld like to add something like the following to me 4.3.4 Domain: ktpass -princ afpserver/fqdn at REALM -mapuser mapuser at domain +rndPass -out afpserver.keytab This is for a netatalk server. I’ve never

syslinux 3.11/3.20-pre initrd loading bug
If you load more than one initrd syslinux doesn't clear the memory between them. Or rather, the code for it does not work. The patch below fixes it. SYSLINUX 3.20-pre4 pushed out
This prerelease should hopefully fix the handing of "ontimeout" with a label in menu.c32. It also adds the "menu shiftkey" command (so far undocumented), which only displays the menu if Shift/Alt/Caps/Scroll is set. Note that means it's not possible to display the menu on a serial console! -hpa

Hi all, I have merged Tim's patches to the mboot loader, and have pushed it out as 3.20-pre7. I guess I'm going to actually have to make a 3.20 here soon... -hpa

"sector read error" with 3.20-pre8 syslinux.com
Hi All, A colleague of mine is using syslinux-3.20-pre8, syslinux.com, under DOS to install syslinux loader. It gives "sector read error". He re-compiled syslinux.com under a linux box, and used it successfully to install the loader from DOS. He is installing it on a hard drive (C:) He booted from a floppy and ran: "syslinux.com C:" at A:\ prompt He tried with

3.20-pre11 with password management
Hey folks, I was trying the complex menu from the lastest pxelinux 3.20-pre11. It did install a password file in the /isolinux/ of my tftpserver. Then I try to authentificate myself as user3 with as password I've been tranforming using sha1pass. When I select login, the screen blink and doesn't ask me anything. I reslect login, it ask me for a username. I give user3 and then my

SYSLINUX 3.20-pre12 released
Hi all, I have just pushed out SYSLINUX 3.20-pre12. This version fixes a long-standing stack overflow bug which kicks in after exiting from a COMBOOT or COM32 program too many times; this happens easily when using nested menus in the simple menu system. At this point I consider the feature set of 3.20 closed. I want to try to find the regression in ISOLINUX if at all possible before

Patch to menu.c32 from syslinux 3.20
Hi, I'm attaching a patch to Syslinux dealing with a handful of issues that were preventing me from using the simple menu interface. Issues covered: * Enable "MENU ONERROR" as a keyword on par with "ONERROR". * Enable hidden menu entries to be used as ontimeout and onerror entries (probably the least estheticalla pleasing part, sorry about that.) * Make global

3.20-pre5 vesamenu works pretty well in ATI and Intel VGA chips
The 3.20-pre5 vesamenu works pretty well in ATI (Radeon Mobility M6) and Intel VGA chips (82865G Integrated). Awesome! If I remove the png file, it will fall back to the text mode. Just one more question, I'd like to make this text mode color looks like that default one in menu.c32, but when I use "MENU COLOR ..." to change the setting, it seems no affect. Where am I wrong? If it can

syslinux-2.11 boot, syslinux-3.20 fail
We used syslinux package on IPCop with success to install from floppy, from cdrom, from usb key and pxe. I upgrade the distribution nine month ago from 2.11 to more recent versions (3.11, later 3.20). We add one consistent report of a laptop machine that boot with 2.11 but fail with 3.11 and 3.20 Symptom is that the machine don't display anything after loading the kernel and initrd. with

virtio for 3.20
Hi Rusty, all I parked outstanding virtio patches here: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mst/vhost.git vhost-next this way they are merged in linux-next as well. Rusty if you'll be doing 3.20 window, would you mind checking that tree to verify nothing's lost? So far it has a bunch of my patches, and Sasha's cleanup patch, but maybe Pawe?'s mmio patches will be ready
