Hello Everyone, Currently I'm having a problem with viewing my Samba shares from a Windows XP client using the "net view" command. However, I can map the shares using the command "net use M: \\localhost\sharename <file:///\\localhost\sharename> " to a network drive. I have copied my current smb.conf file below. Problem with CVS working over Samba
Hello everyone, Currently I'm using Samba as a bridge between my Unix files and my windows XP client and it works just fine. But I'm having a problem with using CVS on my Windows XP client. I don't want to have two separate copies of my source files - one copy on my unix box and another copy on my Windows XP client and use CVS to manage two copies of the same sources in different

Strangeness in mount attempts...
I am attempting to find out why the following is happening, and have been spending the last hour or so scanning the mailing list archives and a couple of FAQs (though I would by no means call the search exhaustive, just geting a little too long for my own taste). As far as I can tell, smbmount is a stripped out smbclient with some extras in there to do the sctual mounting. Which is why I am

Auto drop list: Create a form professional or easy?
Hi all, I''m searching for a method to dynamically build a form. ( false/true field in the DB should automatically be a droplist) If you use "_form.rhtml" it works easy, with only this code in your partial, but uses the extra file, and doesn''t feel profi and flexible. <%= start_form_tag :action => ''create_product'' %> <%= render

Sip or IAX device with professional balanced audio out
Hi all, I've been googling for a solution here and haven't really come up with anything yet. We're doing an Asterisk install for a local radio station, and we're looking for a phone that they can use in their control room hooked up to their mixer board for recording calls. So, when you phone in for some contest or to request a song they record it and play it back a few minutes

Hi, how can I access to a sambaserver from a w2k-client. I've installed the latest sambaversion. On the w2k-client I see the sambaserver in the networksurrounding but I can't make a connection to the share on the linuxhost. A special acl-file is not installed on the linuxhost. What is nessessary that the connection to the sambaserver works properly. Regards, Ruprecht

Crash with R1.7.0 + Windows XP Professional
Dear R-Help, I've had some problems installing the R 1.7.0 binary on Windows XP Professional. If I launch R from the Start Menu or the Desktop, R crashes. However, if I launch by double-clicking on an .RData file, R loads up just fine. I've never had any problems with previous versions/OS. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks! Simon
