SSH Server and Hash algorithms
OK? So, I have posted on the Centos list, comp.security.ssh, and Linux Forums, and no one seems to have heard of this issue or even have any advice for me. So, I am going to take a shot with the Samba list, since this is related. I have a Centos 6.2 server freshly updated. It is authenticating against an openldap server, and I am having an issue with the hashing algorithms being used by various

New feature: remote entropy gatherer port
[NOTE: I'm new to this list and this is my first approach to OpenSSH code.] I've enhanced "--with-prngd-port=PORT" flag to accept an optional hostname as in "myhost:myport", e.g.: % ./configure --with-prngd-port=example.com:12345 Although I'm certain that this may cause big trouble if remote gatherer isn't online (ssh will refuse to open any connection) I

Hi Gregory, GM> Flac decode is VERY fast: GM> http://web.inter.nl.net/users/hvdh/lossless/lossless.htm Thank you for the link. Although I switched to flac for other reasons, these data appear to support my switch, given the hardware limitations I have. As I mentioned, I use a 400 mhz laptop in my office, and at home a qnap ts-101 running slimserver software. While quite usable, neither

SF Beer & Pizza SIG - review and forecast
Wednesday''s Beer & Pizza SIG was attended by about a dozen Rubyists, plus one extremely well-dressed gentleman (no hacker he!) who was on the prowl for Rubyists to hire. Beer and Pizza (among other things) were consumed, Ruby (among other things) was discussed, and everyone appeared to have a good time. The upcoming SIG will, as announced previously, be held just up the street at

Casualty Actuarial Society request for proposals for R Workshop
I'm a property-casualty actuary, use R in at my job, and lurk on the list. In conjunction with one of its meetings, the Casualty Actuarial Society (I'm a member) is looking for proposals from people to teach a workshop in R and I thought members of the list might be interested. I've pasted the information below. My apologies if this posting violates list rules. Thanks. Kevin

RE: [SLE] SuSE 9.3 and Latest Binaries - Library Conflict
Cross-posting scares me, but... Have you looked at the latest RPMs for SuSE, from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/samba/ ? They've worked like a charm for me, thus far (revision after revision, a simple rpm -U * seems to work...) -----Original Message----- From: david rankin [mailto:drankin@cox-internet.com] Sent: Mon 9/12/2005 5:30 PM To: samba; Suse Linux Subject: [SLE] SuSE 9.3 and
