Legend placement in barplot?
This has been asked before, but all the answers are hidiously complex.
The
legend.text=TRUE
option of barplot is almost exactly what I need, except I need a
legend.placement='tl'
(top left) option. This option would be in contrast to the default
placement which we could call 'tr' (top right).
Anyone know how to edit the barplot code to make this change? Could

Is there a automatic counter variable?
Does ruby have anything where if I''m going through a do-while loop, or
a "3.times" loop or "for product in products" where there''s a variable
that will tell me which iteration of the loop I''m on? Instead of
havign to declare my own counter = 0 and then increment it each time?
Seems like something Rails would have... I can''t seem to find

Using Shorewall + Linux Virtual Server LVS/DR
I''m havign a HUGE amount of difficulty getting shoreline to work with LVS.
We use it here constantly so we know it works. The problem is packets come
in, get directed to a webserver, webserver returns the packet to firewall,
and then it goes into a black hole. rp_filter is off globally on all
interfaces. LVS seems to be working right....
I use shorewall tcrules to mark packets on

Vorbis streaming
Hi. Can anyone tell me the best way to stream Ogg Vorbis to an Icecast2 or
compatible server under Windows? I would need something that doesn't rely
heavily on graphics, as I have a blind friend who wishes to be able to do this.
Thanks,
Lorenzo

Supported version of Samba for commercial use.
Dear Sirs.
We have csv reports that are created on a unix server automatically via a
cron job. We are looking at putting these reports in a shared area / work
out a way of sharing a unix device to windows machine like mapping a network
drive. The only product we have found that can possibly do this is samba.
Because we are a large company ('BRITISH TELECOM') we really need a version

Samba LDB MDB Trouble on Ubuntu
Hi!
Actually a weird Problem:
Access MDB on a Samba Share.
Access from XP Machines. First User with DOUBLECLICK Open -> OK
N-Th User with Doubleclick -> Nothing Happens (e.g. Access wont open / no
error though)
Opening Access File-Open-Database works without Problems.
Whats the Point with that? LDB Problem?
:-/
Thanks

tuning samba fot better performance with MS Access mdb files
Our Samba file server has a share with an visual basic application,
there are 8 XP clients working with this share.
The problem is that connections are very slow when accessing mdb
databases... we are using MS Access ODBC to connect to the database on
the samba server.
Is there any special tuning for make things better?
Thanks for the posible answers...

MDB database corruption
Hi everybody.
I have an issue with an MDB (Microsoft Access database file) which
corrupts frequently. The issue started after i rebuilt my server with
Ubuntu 8.04 and Samba 3.0.28a. Previously i was using QiLinux 1.2, and
an older version of Samba (can't remember which one).
Since the only thing i changed was the server operating system and
software, it stands to reason that possibly a

Windows7 stalling access to mdb files
Hi,
sys: RHEL5 32bit with samba3x packages or latest Sernet rpms (same problems)
small domain with XP and w7 (64bit) workstations
The main use is an old MS Access based app which shares its mdb file on
the server.
It works flawlessly with the XP clients though I have not disabled
OPLOCKs at all, never had any problem with it neither performance nor
any file corruption.
The problem is with
