VoIP Service Provider
Hi everyone in the asterisk community. Am new to asterisk, while doing the installation I notice that sip.conf examples were not clear for beginners like me so I would like to share my current working configuration with everyone. Swifttel.net is a new VoIP service Provider out of Georgia. Their web site is www.swifttel.net. Currently we have service with them and it has been a pleasant experience.

Help with samba and a VM
I'm having some issues with a VM accessing a Samba share on a Unix server. When the user is not logged into the VM he has no problem accessing the share. When he logs into the VM and then tries to access the samba share he gets the following message: ERROR CODE: 1326 Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. Here are my specifics: Samba version: 2.25 OS: HP 11.00 Smb.conf: #

AEC with different soundcards
I've been testing the AEC and have experienced it working on one sound card, and not working when using different cards for capture/playback so I know it's a real problem. And yes I know the documentation says it won't work "regardless of what you may think." I'm the inquisitive type; I'm looking to understand just what exactly is happening here. One discussion in

Wine Installation
Contrary to most who post to this list, I am not running Windows based games on my Linux OS. I have wine 1.2.1 running on my *ubuntu 10.10 system out of directory /usr/bin. I also had a newer version (probably 1.2.2) installed in another (unknown) directory. After reading <http://www.wine-reviews.net/wine-reviews/tips-n-tricks/a-guide-to-wine-on-ubuntu-for-beginners.html> I performed

Just a small suggestion since Windows have a file system not designed for command line use... [libnbd PATCH] disconnect: Prevent any further commands
Once the client has requested NBD_CMD_DISC, the protocol states that it must not send any further information to the server (further writes may still be needed for a clean TLS shutdown, but that's a different matter requiring more states). Our state machine can prevent some of this if we have moved to CLOSED, but that's not foolproof because we can queue commands that can't be written
