W2K3 SP1 - PERSISTENT CONNECTION(S) BUG?
After testing my W2K3 SP1 terminal server against a SAMBA server *AND* a W2K server, I have noticed the following *odd* behavior. LOGIN: Map drive letters LOGOUT: Connections are still connected. on BOTH W2K and SAMBA file servers. LOGIN: Map drive letters LOGOUT: Now you have TWO sets of connections still connected for the one user. REPEAT: For each time you repeat the above procedure, you

Loosing admin privileges after login
Hello, I am a Samba-newbie, so please excuse, if my question seems to you stupid. I've set up a PDC, based on Samba 3.0.14a (SerNet) and a OpenLDAP-Server. So I took a Windows XP client and integrated it to the domain. Afterwards I logged in as administrator and copied the existing profile of an user to the server. The user was able to login and his profile was loaded from the server. But I

Network is busy
Ok, I've gone through the list archives, and there's a bunch of questions, but no answers. I'm referring to the Error: Network is busy when logging in from both Win95 (a and b versions) and Win98. It seems to never give this message unless the Windoze machine has been rebooted forcefully - it seems as if the samba server hasn't realized that the client has left, and is locking

Perl-5.8.8-10 "use overload" backport breaks performance?
Hello, There is text in the documentation of Class::DBIx as follows: There is a problem with slow performance of certain DBIx::Class operations in perl-5.8.8-10 and later on RedHat and related systems, due to a bad backport of a "use overload" related bug. The problem is in the Perl binary itself, not in DBIx::Class. If your system has this problem, you will see a warning on startup,

Event Overload
Greetings, I have a hypothetical question to pose to this body of talented programmers. I have constructed a Service class that uses Ajax.Request objects to send requests, it has two methods per request, one which receives a DTO(data transfer object(hash)) and the other which receives the request, upon receiving the request it dispatches a custom event and all the listeners of that service

Overload Point for OPUS
Hi Marc, It's not exactly clear how to define the an "overload point" for Opus. In normal use, it's not a good idea to go beyond the +/- 32767 values for 16-bit PCM or +/- 1.0 for float. That being said, internally Opus can represent signals that are up to about 48 dB louder than the PCM saturation point and if you use the float implementation you can actually encode and decode

[LLVMdev] function overload in C
Hi, I'm trying to implement an overloading behavior to some of our builtin functions, and came across the following comment in SemaExpr.cpp // Check for overloaded calls. This can happen even in C due to extensions. If (Fn->getType() == Context.OverloadTy) { .... I was wondering which C extensions is this referring to? Thanks Ali -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

overload key signing function for opensc tokens...
I wasn't having much luck getting a key and certificate stored on a hardware token to work until I made this fix. The ssh_rsa_sign key was not using either overloading. I used the rsa.meth way, instead of the engine. With this patch ssh-add works. I'm working on getting ssh to take a PIN, but when I put in a call to read_passphrase in the appropriate place, it muddies the waters

[PATCH v6 02/11] locking/osq: Drop the overload of osq_lock()
An over-committed guest with more vCPUs than pCPUs has a heavy overload in osq_lock(). This is because vCPU A hold the osq lock and yield out, vCPU B wait per_cpu node->locked to be set. IOW, vCPU B wait vCPU A to run and unlock the osq lock. Kernel has an interface bool vcpu_is_preempted(int cpu) to see if a vCPU is currently running or not. So break the spin loops on true condition. test

perl bless/overload performance problem
Hello, How do people here handle the situation mentioned in RH bug #379791 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=379791)? We have a web site built using Perl Catalyst which warns about this issue. So far we managed to avoid this by not upgrading the perl package handed to us as part of an old Xen image based on CentOS 5.0, but we are now building the Xen guests without this image and

Overload standart function

I have a couple of standart functions like dim() and length() overloaded. #Example dim.Model <- function(this) { length(unique(this$.variables)); } I built my package, but when I try to load it... This message appears: Attaching package 'mudim': The following object(s) are masked _by_ .GlobalEnv : dim.Model,...(etc.) Any

Overload assets/views of a mountable engine?
Hello, Sorry for double post but I wasn''t very clear in my first email. I''m developing a Rails-3.1 Mountable Engine, the engine provide it''s own assets and views of course but I would like to overload some the files. Example: Let''s consider a mountable blogging engine, which would be mounted in whatever application to get a blog but the engine should look

operator overload on views
In my User auth scheme I have a userlevel. I''ve overloaded the User class operators like this: def >(item) if item.class == "User" self.userlevel > item.userlevel else self.userlevel > item end end (other operators are overloaded in essentially the same way). As I understand it, using the operator ">" inside the overloaded
