Roaming profiles errors and shares not disconnecting
Hi, We are using Samba 3.0.22 on FreeBSD 5.5 PDC with ldap backend and roaming profiles. We meet some difficulties when users logout from some Windows 2000 SP4 clients, and storing their profiles back to the Samba server. The file NTUSER.DAT seems to be uploaded and stored in lowercase, as ntuser.dat. Then, when users try to reopen a win session, they get a corrupted new profile. This new

WinXP and Mac OS X Server PDC: long logout times
Hello list, I recently added a new workstation to my PDC and have been experiencing some problems with roaming profiles. The PDC in question is Mac OS X Server 10.3.4, which has Samba 3.0.2 on it. The machine has been functioning without issue as a PDC and I have had no problems with my Win2k clients. While login times are quick, the XP SP1 machine takes a long, long time to log out.

Login problems in Windows XP
First, I dont know if this issue is related to Samba or to Windows, but since all of our clients logon to a samba-served windowsdomain I suspect this problem at least is related to samba. Background We have 80 clients serving around 1000 users (this is a computerroom for students). Clients are running a Windows XP SP1 fully pathed installation. All users log on to a samba domain (samba

[LLVMdev] load bytecode from string for jiting problem
Hello Willy, Here is the dump from one of my bitcode files: 0000000 42 43 c0 de 21 0c 00 00 25 05 00 00 0b 82 20 00 As expected, 0x42 (= B), 0x43 (= C), xc0 and 0xde are in correct order. In your case, the first byte is read as 37 (= 0x25). I wonder why? When you check the bytes yourself, you get expected results. When the same bytes are read from Stream object, you get a different result (maybe

XP "logon failure" but still logs on -- no roaming profile
I'm having a problem with roaming domains on Samba v3.0-alpha21. I've connected the machine (watertown) to the domain (precidia) via the server (griffon). I've logged on with my userid (bcwhite) and seen my roaming profile get created on the server upon logoff. Future logons grab the roaming profile and everything is fine. However, _sometimes_ I get a window with the message:

KB824141 on Win2K and Samba PDC with a mandatory profile
This one gave me a headache yesterday: Last updated version of KB824141 hotfix on a Windows 2000 workstation in a domain with Samba PDC has the following consequences: 1. When a user with a mandatory profile logs on, it doesn't load the profile correctly. The cached profile looks like a default profile - empty directories except for the NTUSER.MAN. No Desktop, no Application data ...

Agents on DND still receiving calls...
Fellow Asterisk Users, I'm running Asterisk 1.2.5, and I've configured basic call queueing using agents. The problem I'm having is that agents who are on DND are still considered (by Asterisk) to be eligible to take calls. This means that calls will hit voicemail even when other agents who are not on DND are available. Any ideas how I can make agents ineligible to receive calls

File browser doesn't remember last directory over Dfs
Hi, I have encountered some strange behaviour after upgrading to 3.0.12 on FreeBSD 4.10 file servers. Normally when users on windows apps use the file browser to select a file it remembers the selected directory between invocations, so that, for example, they can easily read in multiple files from the same directory, or if they click on Save As... it takes them to the directory where they

Strange intermittent join with XP SP2 and Samba 3.0.14a
Hi all! I'm a system administrator for a company that uses Samba (the latest, 3.0.14a) as a PDC for a subnet with various windows clients. The following diagram illustrates the situation of the various host in my network: +----------+ | Win 2003 | +--+-------+ - Clients - | 10.100.0.0/16 | +--------+ |
