Missing text issue in CCNP test application
Hi,
I have installed a CCNP test application that came with a CCNP book but the actual text of the questions is missing.
The wine version is 1.2.2, the OS is xubuntu
In the quiz preferences the two font options are arial and times new roman
I am guessing that it just can't find these fonts, but i am not exactly sure where i should be putting them. I have installed MStruetype fonts but

Hi,
I am trying to set up the Gluster Management Console (backend servers - centos 6, glusterfs 3.3beta2, management gateway - centos 6). I can launch the java app and make it through the password changing screen. Then I choose "register" and input the cluster name and the IP of one of the backend servers.

Zultys 4x4 or 4x5 ip phones?
Does anyone on-list use the Zultys 4x4 or 4x5 ip phones? I'd like to
hear some opinion before I buy a few. I'm especially interested in the
PSTN interface on the 4x5. Does it relay to * for VM when an incomming
call is not answered by the phone?
Thanks,
Michael

database tables
I have been assigned a task of building a front end to a database that has already been created. All the database tables have the naming convention of lclclcClclclc. For example; tblComputerNames. How do i get around this in rails since it likes lower case table names to keep with its naming conventions for classes and objects?

Centos 6.4 - yum update gives: Error: kernel conflicts with bfa-firmware
On trying a yum update I get the following error:
Error: kernel conflicts with bfa-firmware
yum suggests I work around the problem with --skip-broken or try running
'rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest'
Is there an accepted process for resolving this?

Metaswitch to Asterisk problems
I am setting up VM off Metaswitch due to a problem with Metaswitch VM. I have a couple days to prove this works and I need a little assist please.
I am using TRIXBOX 2.6.2.5 and have the Meta SIP trunk up. I have extensions built that can talk to each other. I took a trace on the TRIXBOX that shows when I dial my test phone on Metaswitch it goes to VM after a couple rings and the call goes to my

I saw this posting by Christopher Robert Woods. I am having the identical
problem with Samba on Suse Linux 7.2 (OS/390). Is there any known
workaround?

Announce of our Xen project; Routing simulation with Einar
Hello all,
Some time before Christmas, a project was started. The task was to
enhance an existing LiveCD solution with User-mode Linux. A number of
requirements was stated, where the greatest challenge was to fit 10
virtual routers within an old no-name PC with only 256MB Ram. And the
solution must still be run from a LiveCD.
Thanks to Xen, the task was possible to complete.

Annoying winbind problem solved
I have been on the web for hours reading email postings about WINDBIND.
Here is the scenario. Samba 2.27 on Redhat 8, installed via the redhat
RPMs. the first interesting note was that there is no samba-winbind rpm.
It is a part of the samba-common.rpm in redhat. I have been using Samba
as a file server for quite some time. And 100% of my issues with it stem
from permission problems. So I heard

Question regarding share security
I have a samba server set up with a few shares and about 5 different
users. My issue is this: Whenever the admin user writes a new file to
the 'data' share the unix permissions become admin, admin. Then the
guys in sales cant read it. The same happens with our art department.
How to i tell Samba that any file written to the 'data' share by an
authenticated user should

sedwards@sedwards.com causes me to be knocked off the list
Someone on this list uses the address @sedwards.com
I doubt this is their actual email address as there is no MX record for
sedwards.com and I can't find registration for their domain either.
Part of my mail servers reject these emails because they cannot be
replied to, or are likely to be spam.
Every so often I get a mail from the list management to say that I've

Getting confirmation for power button
Using CentOS 5.8:
Currently on my workstations, when I press the power button the computer
immediately does a 'shutdown -h now' (per /etc/acpid/events/power.conf).
Is there a way to change it so that a confirmation dialog comes up, rather
than an immediate shutdown?
I assume that I am going to need to change that power.conf file to tell
some program that the power button's been
