Dear all: I have two larges files with 2000 columns. For each file I am performing a loop to extract the "i"th element of each file and create a data frame with both "i"th elements in order to perform further analysis. I am not extracting all the "i"th elements but only certain which I am indicating on a vector called "d". See an example of my code below

Ogg in my car
I hope this hasn't already been mentioned on the list or I'll kind of look stupid... The Ogg Developers may already be aware of this, but I thought this would be news for most of the people who subscribe to this list. I saw this on NewsForge where they referenced an article from MP3Newswire.net The article is about Kenwood announcing a digital music system for cars that supports Ogg

Shorwall with Snort inline, question.
Question to the list, Has anyone here had experience using Shorewall (multi-isp configuration) with Snort inline? First, is this possible? Second, if anyone has done this, what documentation, if any did they use to set it up? Third, does snort have to run inline on a firewall (I''m under the impression it does)?

Goof on webpage
>Ogg Vorbis is a fully Open, non-proprietary, >patent-and-royalty-free, general-purpose compressed >audio format for high quality (44.1-48.0kHz, 16+ bit, >polyphonic) audio and music at fixed and variable >bitrates from 16 to 128 kbps/channel The 'to 128kbps/channel' looks incorrect to me. If I am not mistaken, Ogg Vorbis can go a lot higher than that? -- GCP ---

Hz vs bitrate?
the Vorbis FAQ says: "mid to high quality (8kHz-48.0kHz, 16+ bit, polyphonic) audio and music at fixed and variable bitrates from 16 to 128 kbps/channel." What is the difference between Hz and bitrate? Doesn't MP3 support higher bitrates? Pointers for more reading are welcome.
