Login script doesn't run
Hi, The login script has worked for our win98 computers since the dawn of time (or there abouts). Then something happened or I did something and the login script doesn't run anymore. I can run it manually. This was version 2.2.3a. I started smbd with -d10 and didn't see any call for a script. Is the login script mentioned in a working system? In an effort to fix this, I deleted and

Login script doesn't run - Solved
I hate being stupid. Here is the answer: This won't work: [global] logon script = %U.bat # Win9x needs this This will work: [global] # Win9x needs this logon script = %U.bat The comment has to be on it's own line. Thanks to all for trying to help. Bob Crandell (bob@assuredcomp.com) wrote*: > >Hi, >The login script has worked for our win98 computers

'Access denied' when moving files
Hello. I've got a Windows 2000 Pro Sp2 client using Samba 2.2.4-2 on Red Hat Linux 7.3. I've ran chmod 777 * +R on the directory that samba shares; sharing is set as 'share' security. Lots of times, when I move video files from my local hard drive on the Windows 2000 machine to the samba share (mapped to a drive letter, not a UNC), I get an "Access denied, the source file may

Exporting samba mount via NFS
Perhaps I'm trying to do something that is not allowed, but I have found no such restriction in the documentation. To limit the contact of my Linux boxes with the "products of Bill & Co.", I have mounted a Windows share on my Linux server. When I try to export that same share from the Linux server (as a plain old NFS volume), it mounts without error, but the mountpoint

Invalid term in model formula with gmm after formula.tools is loaded
Hi Aristide and welcome to R-help! Your message was a bit mangled [*]. It's best to compose messages to this mailing list in plain text. Otherwise (when composed in HTML), the mailing list eats the HTML part and we're left with the plain text part automatically generated by your mailer, which isn't always readable. ? smtp_address_cmp does not ignore case of localpart
Hi, in src/lib-smtp/smtp-address.c line 759 the localpart is compared with null_strcmp, which does not ignore the case. While this is the correct behavior (according to the RFC) it causes problems in real life. In my case the vacation notices are not sent, if someone writes to First.Last at ruhr-uni-bochum.de because :addresses contains (only) first.last at ruhr-uni-bochum.de. Regards,

R plug in for Eclipse
Hello, Is there any R plug-in available for Eclipse other than StatET? StatET doesn't seem to work with the latest release of Eclipse properly, i.e. syntax highlighting isn't enabled for R commands. I already contacted the author some time ago, but have not yet received a response. Would also be great if somebody could tell me whether they have the same problem. I already tried

Power analysis and sample size calculation for nonlinear regression
Is there a library that provides power calculation and sample size estimation for nonlinear regression? The task is easy for linear regression with the "pwr" package, but I can't find a method for nonlinear regression (estimated with the "nls" package). -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Dr. Johannes W. Path to R script
There is certainly a trivial solution for my question, but I can't find the answer in the documentation. I need a platform independent method to obtain the file path of the current R script. My working group uses R on several machines with different operating systems including Mac OS X, Windows and Linux, and for obvious reasons the file hierarchies are very different. Therefore, it
