dovecot lost mail! Cause?
Hi,
After using dovecot for several years now, today happend something which
makes me really feel unconfortable: An email received was just not
delivered properly, or, is lost! The mail (from an external server) was
sent to two local mailboxes, user1 and user2. user1 received the message
but for user2, it *magically* disappeared.
MTA is exim4 which definitely processed the messages and handed

How to "source" a R script in a parent/parallel directory (win/linux)
Dear R users,
I would like to source a file independently from the operating system,
but I cannot figure out how.
I apologize for the verbosity of this mail,
but English is not my mother tongue, so I cannot be concise and precise
as I can be in my own language.
I'm writing a script which will be run by some people who are not
familiar with R.
I already tried to teach them some rudiments,

Win(yuck)NT
In migrating to Samba on FreeBSD from Win(yuck)NT, I?ve run into this
hitch.
Let us say I have 9 users named
User1, User2, User3, ? User9
User1 is a member of group wheel
User2 & User3 have the administrative task (add/change/delete) of managing
the content of the directory Dirc1 and all subordinate objects (files and
directories).
Dirc1 is the directory /usr/Shared/Dirc1. Only User1

Trusted NT domains won't connect
Hi all,
I've been struggling with this problem for quite some time, and I'm
hoping someone will have an answer for me. I'm trying to use Samba to
authenticate against a campus-wide NT domain setup. As such, I can't
change any of the details of the NT domain.
The NT domains are set up as follows:

Questions about dovecot-shared in 1.2 and inherit group membership from parent mailbox
Hi,
I read the Wiki about dovecot-shared a few times but it is not 100%
clear to me (at least for 1.2).
First, if I want shared keywords I *must* have a dovecot-shared. In this
case, the permissions are not taken any longer from the parent folder
(what is exactly this parent folder?) but from the dovecot-shared file.
So in some sense dovecot-shared is always required (since everyone would

fail to display xfs quotas instead of smbcquotas on Win clients
Hi
Samba 3.6.3 on Ubuntu.
Filesystem is xfs, grpquota and usrquota are enabled.
root at host:# repquota /mntpoint displays the correct data (see below).
In smb.conf I defined max protocol = SMB2.
When running smbcquotas //host/share -L I'm getting displayed a value of
16GB for every user share. This is the value that is displayed on the
windows 7 boxes when looking at the network shares in

Searching for original UID at remote (sshd) host
Hi,
does there exist a functionality in the current code, which allows the
setting of an environment variable at the server side that represents
the original user id at the ssh client side. The intention for that is,
that i will know who the real user at the ssh client side is, if the
user sets the option "-l <user>" in the ssh command. In the current
code, I found only the

i have installed a CentOS 7 x86_64 system. I want to let users
