Basic ISDN Access
Hi All, Here at my office we have two basic ISDN Access with two phone lines each. We would like to install an Asterisk PBX. The question is: How can I connect the ISDN lines to Asterisk? Is it possible to connect to a DIGIUM Wildcard TE410P card? Or this E1 card is only for PRI access? Any other suggested and tested hardware for a production box? Let me know, -Z --

printer shares: PDF queue
As you know, Samba up to and including 3.0.8 contains a share "pdf" which is meant to convert an incoming postscript job to PDF. At least in SUSE Linux as well as the Sernet RPMs this is broken because as documented "print command" is ignored if Samba is compiled against libcups and "printing=cups" (see smb.conf man page lines 4564 ff. in 3.0.8 and Chap. 18 of the

printer shares: PDF queue and AD integration
Hi, after taking a look at the samba-3.0.9 Sernet packages I see that smb.conf is in the samba3-client package not the server package. This smb.conf lacks about every pre-built share we had before. Anyway... I posted this before but no answer yet: As you know, Samba up to and including 3.0.8 contains a share "pdf" which is meant to convert an incoming postscript job to PDF. At least

Host IP address, Crash on startup, Console grabs soundcard - Newbie needs help
I'm an asterisk newbie, so initially tried to install it on a Mandrake 10.1 (see config below) and with a bit of messing about using sample config, have been able to make the test call to device 1000, and also through to the IAX test number at Digium. However, operation is extremely flaky - I cannot reliably startup and use the system on a regular basis. I have several problems listed below

Now, I can copy files out of my linux samba server to my windows machine at full speed. However, when

Domain master vs. workgroup master?? (messages about domain master browser)
Can anyone tell me what to do about the messages I'm getting, or should I ignore them? I think my SuSE 9.2 box is configured to expect a doman, and there isn't one, just a workgroup. I've been going over a problem and haven't been able to resolve it. I think I've narrowed the problem down to Samba, but I could use some advice on this. ? A few weeks ago I installed a print and fax server for a client. ?I used an old PII system with 64 MB RAM, SUSE Pro 9.1, configured to use Samba and HylaFAX. ?There are 8 client workstations running Window 98 SE (most of the

Re: Samba Authentication
Hello, I just setup my machine to login to a Win2000 Domain. When I then go to browse network shares using Konqueror, I am still being asked for the username and password (which I used to login!). I am assuming this is an error in my smb.conf file (which is below). Thanks in advance! -Ed Waldmire ed@simplifiedcomputers.com # smb.conf is the main Samba configuration file. You find a full
