[PATCH] printing patch update
In reviewing the recent printing-3-0-10_v2 patch, I think I have found an omitted 'release_print_db'. The following patch corrects this. Newbie to 3.0.1 and having problems
I have just upgraded from samba 2.2.7a to 3.0.1. For this upgrade I backed up my old samba installation, installed the new configuration and copied over the contents of the private directory which was secrets.tdb and smbpasswd. I ran testparm and everything seemed fine so I run samba and H drives come back up perfectly. I think I have 3 issues: 1) I noticed in /var/adm/messages that entries

Fedora, Cups, print$, and Windows XP - Oh my :) Round 2 - FIGHT
Hello from Canada! I'm posting again about a problem I posted about in February, I'll repost the message here, with updated information. When I read that it was a possible/probably bug with Samba, I decided to wait a while and see if it wasn't hashed out by now. It doesn't appear to be fixed (or I messed up). Anyways, here is the information with updates. A "*" indicates

whats normal for samba loging amount
Hi, I'm running the Debian samba 3.0.10-1 package. I have 'log level = 0'. However my logcheck is showing a lot of noise from samba. Are the following messages normal, or do we have a misconfiguration? (We don't seem to have any problems accessing the shared samba shares): Mar 31 12:13:31 sd01 nmbd[3150]: [2005/03/31 12:13:31, 0]

printjob stays in windows queue after transfer failure
Hi Jerry et al, I'm using the 3.0.1 release in 'ADS' mode with ~450 print queues and ~150 users (getting migrated right now, will be ~3.000 in the end). In general everything works fine apart from some smaller driver configuration problems, the usual stuff. Though I see a lot of errors in the log files and it seems that sometimes the print job transfer fails (get 'zero nothing to
