RE: graphical configuration tool.
ok, 2 issues that have been reported with ico2sambaconf-0.8.0:
1: the program does not run due to a config file i forgot to remove,
simply delete settings.conf from the programs folder and it will run
fine.
2: the magic line that makes it run from bash as a script is missing,
to run the program you need to type wish smbthingy.tcl
both these issues will be fixed by the next release, but for now

Hardware for PBX with 4 incoming/outgoing lines and 20 phones
Hi
I am interested in setting up an Asterisk PBX in my office with digium
hardware, and I just have a few questions in regards to what I would
need. It is my understanding that an FXO card is used to interface with
an incoming/outgoing phone line, and an FXS card is used for interfacing
with a phone within the system. Currently we have 4 incoming/outgoing
phone lines and would like to have

server with a 500G sata drive working fine except for disk I/O issues
at peak times. I have copied it to a new drive before using 'dd

lightdm + xorg.conf + nvidia driver
Hello CentOS-Community,
I have to maintain a server that should be useable with VNC and some
software requires to run VirtualGL.
Also a nvidia graphic card is installed.
After downloading and installing the nvidia driver from nvidias homepage
and modifying
the xorg.conf as mentioned on the virtualgL-homepage,
I am not able to restart lightdm anymore.
Lightdm should be running, otherwise

serious security problem in XKB
The Neverending Story of X11 Insecurity continues...
Summary:
On a system where X11R6.3-based Xserver with XKEYBOARD extension (R6.1 is
probably affected too) is run in setuid or setgid enviroment (e.g. typical
XFree86 installation has XF86_* installed setuid root), local users can
exploit a "feature" of XKB implementation to execute arbitrary commands
with the extra privileges.

Cannot start a secondary Xserver with resolution 6480x3840
The scenario you describe should most definitely work -- switching
between different instances of X running on different vt's.
Your GPU has 4 CRTC's (Kepler, then Maxwell, then Pascal -- that's
your generation), which means you can have up to 4 heads at the same
time.
Here's a config that I use to get both of my monitors to come up the
way I want them to, using the nouveau ddx,
