Wrong Foldername
Hi,
I'm using samba 3.0.6. I see computer_name folders created in homedir.
This never happened before I switch from Domain to ADS. Could someone
please give me a few pointers?

URGENT winbind - New DOMAIN but old DOMAIN not CHANGING - Resent
Hi,
We just imported (moved) all our staff from the old w2k domain to the
new w2k3 domain. Say their accounts and passwords
From STAFF domain to say NEW. Seems winbind is keeping the old domain
users. This server was serving the STAFF domain w/o problems before
users were migrated.
Domain is in 2000 native mode.
I'm using winbind for squid auth on Mandrake linux 10.0

LDA vs LMTP change in header
Switching to dovecot LMTP appears to have change the information in the received header, which appears to be causing my spam filter to wig out and mark local to local emails as spam.
Here?s what the received header used to look like:

3.0.6 Creates Uppercase Folders
Hi,
With Mandrake's samba 3.0.6-4.1.100mdk udpate, I see that uppercase
foldername is created instead of lowercase for some users, also some
users cannot be mapped. Is there a fix for this?
Regards,
Norman

Dovecot not responding
Hi all,
I'm pulling my hair out on this problem and wanted to throw it out there
to see if anyone else had run across it.
I recently restarted my server. There were some network config issues
that caused the interfaces not to come back up, but my colo company got
those resolved.
However, after restart, my IMAPS server has stopped responding to
outside requests. I can successfully access

Is there a hope for Serv-u 7.0.4.1?
I tried several thing but on the end I get no results,
first as a normal user you cant do nothing in wine with the serv-u, second you need to be logged as a root, third, in winxp compatibility mode serv-u would just explode with the error:
fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 4132 (SPI_GETDROPSHADOW)
But when I had set it to the win2k emulation I got some results:

Digium vs. Sangoma
I don't mean to be a troll in any way shape or form. I was on IRC last night and I observed the following convo. below. What do you guys make of it ?
[02:14] <bkw__> Let me tell you how chidlish digium and Mark Spencer is. I walk into a restaurant with them all here at Astricon wearing my sangoma shirt and he asked me to leave.

Samba in 2003 ADS
Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening.
I'm a bit dejected at the moment as all my googleing / howto reading has
brought me no joy,
Apparently there are people out there who have successfully set up Samba
as member server in M$ 2003 ADS.
However I have miserably failed / given up.
What I want to do is have my people print to a PDF printer on Linux using
cups after which they will be emailed the

Winbind Kerberos Problem? - Getting Wrong User SID
I am having trouble getting users connected to shares after setting ACL
permissions on the share (removing the Everyone group and adding
specific users). I have no problem with wbinfo, getent, or net join
commands. I can also kinit a user and use smbclient -k to connect to
windows shares from the samba server. I have removed ncsd from the
system to make sure it can't run. BTW, the user can

Samba working in Active Directory .config's included
I'm struggling just as much as the next person on this setup. Although;
I do have it working under Mandrake 9.2 with Samba3.0.pre1.
Perhaps we can work together and figure out what is different between
setups.

Can't get Local DNS to Run [Was[ remove wins entries - samba 3]]
Further on this. I just ran an ethereal trace on an attempt to ping
lserver1 from lserver1, and it appears that my DNS isn't staying local
at all, but I have no idea what's gone wrong (other than my
/etc/resolv.conf file). The trace (I'd include the relevant parts, but
I can't get it to save anything in textual form) had lserver1.test.biz
going out through the
