migrate openldap to centos 7 server..
I hope this isnt terribly off-topic, but Im trying to migrate openldap from an old 32bit install
of gentoo linux to 64bit centos 7. Ive searched and found all kinds of info on migrating, but
none if it seems to work completely for me.
It seems that the newer centos 7 opendlap config doesnt use the slapd.conf file any more.
So It appears I need two ldif files. one for the config and one for the

Samba Schema Error? Setting up PDC with LDAP
I have samba 3.0.10 and OpenLDAP(slapd) 2.2.13 on a redhat enterprise 4
machine.
I have modified the slapd.conf file according to the official Smaba3 by
example book.
I have copied samba.schema from the samba directory
/usr/share/doc/samba-3.0.10/LDAP/ to /etc/openldap/schema and included it in
the slapd.conf file:
include /etc/openldap/schema/core.schema

ajax insertion into a form
After an ajax insertion in the dom, it seems the browser don''t
refresh its knowledge of the page.
The source of the page is identical after the insertion, whereas the
display is correct.
The ajax insertion is used to add an input field. The added fields
are ignored by the submission of the form.
Isn''t it possible to do that, or maybe there''s a problem in my code

[PATCH] ocfs2: return f_fsid info in ocfs2_statfs(), v4
Currently f_fsid of struct kstatfs returned from ocfs2_statfs() is undefined (vfs layer fills 0 as
default). Since in some conditions, f_fsid value might be used as (f_fsid, ino) pair to
uniquely identify a file, ocfs2 should return a unique defined f_fsid value from ocfs2_statfs().
Because uuid_str is identified no mater on big or litlle endian machine, it's also endian consistent

[LLVMdev] Reflexions about a new HDL language
Hi,
For the synthesis backend which translate to VHDL or Verilog, I don't
know if I will use LLVM. It will depend on how easy it is to play with
concurrent statements with LLVM. For the simulation I will use LLVM
because I can anyways artificially make the compiled code sequencial. It
would allow me to benefit from all the nice things from LLVM like
existing optimisations. I have never

net rpc group add mygroup - NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
does not work.
Hi - I'm a little bit desperated.
I've samba configured as an PDC with openldap as an information backend.
Normally with tdb files I can do the command
net rpc group add mygroup
and this works. But if I switch to ldapsam I get the failure message
root@balu-bash(1:10)# net rpc group add mygroup
Password:
add group failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
I'm quite sure that

Setting passwords via LDAP
Maybe a bit OT
Hello
I need to be able to change multiple account passwords from a web admin
interface (LAMP).
This involves MySQL databases (working) and SAMBA server and Win 2000 AD.
I suppose I can use LDAP for SAMBA and Win 2000 AD to work.
I can connect, bind and update other attribs in both SAMBA server and Win 2000
AD, but I don't know what attrib to use to change password via

[LLVMdev] Reflexions about a new HDL language
If you're designing a new high-level HDL, then it would be a good idea to familiarise yourself with the state of the art in this area (e.g. Bluespec System Verilog, Symbolics Processor Designer, and similar tools). Starting from comparisons to VHDL and Verilog is like designing a new high-level programming language today that is designed to be a better high-level programming language that is

IA64 Xen Bi-endian support - Litlle-endian Dom0 + Big-endianDomU
Hi,
I am running Xen 3.04 version and trying to run a big-endian OS as guest on

Is it possible to run a big-endian OS as guest, when the Dom 0 is running
little-endian?
Thanks,

[LLVMdev] Reflexions about a new HDL language
Hello,
I previously sent this message, but it was in HTML only, so it was
unreadable.
I am thinking about making a compiler for a new HDL language, that will
be more modern than VHDL and Verilog and allow a little higher level
behavioral description than VHDL. For this language, I am beeing
influenced by VHDL, Ada, Ruby and MyHDL. I also would like to write it
in Ada.
I don't know if it

Hello Jonas,
How is that related to LLVM? I see no references to LLVM on your
announcement nor on your document.
