RE Network UPS Tools - ID string
Hi John,
I've forwarded your info to the nut development list, and to Carlos who's
in charge of the megatec driver.
This one, which is only available in the subversion development tree,
and soon in 2.0.4, will replace the fentonups driver.
So you're encouraged to test it and report back.

Has anyone see this alert?
http://www.securityfocus.com/archive/1/353352
It seems to work on Linux, but when I tried the proof of concept on
4.3.0,1 running 5.2 RELEASE, I couldn't get the X server to core dump
or segmentation fault. So, it seems likely to me that FreeBSD is not
vulnerable to this. Any other thoughts on this matter?

out how and what kind of ducks i will have in my row.... I am fairly
familiar with prior versions such as 2.x but I have been deprived
since I haven't had the chance to fully investigate 3.0. Blah blah

Asterisk not logging originating IP of a brute force attack
Why do attacks from the Internet get shown in the Asterisk logs with
myAsteriskServerIP instead of the attacker's IP?! Really useful for
blocking them, that is... Example:
[Mar 6 00:00:00] NOTICE[1926] chan_sip.c: Failed to authenticate user
5550000<sip:5550000 at myAsteriskServerIP>;tag=ab8537ae
(I replaced our IP address with myAsteriskServerIP. The attacks are not

web collaboration packages.
Hello All,
Try as I might, I cannot get Zimbra 8.0.3 to install on CentOS 6.4, even
with --platform override. I followed some tutorials even that show the
result working and nada.
Can anyone suggest a good setup for e-mails erving, calendaring, web mail?
Web mail is particularly important for my wife so she can check e-mail when
she is at work.

How to get Line 2 blinking when Line 2 (ext 160) is called?
For some reason with my setup when I call Line 2 - Line 1 is blinking.

Anyone has the same problem or is it just me?
Please give me some hint.
Thanks,

Read big data (>3G ) methods ?
Hi all scientists,
Recently, I am dealing with big data ( >3G txt or csv format ) in my
desktop (windows 7 - 64 bit version), but I can not read them faster,
thought I search from internet. [define colClasses for read.table, cobycol
and limma packages I have use them, but it is not so fast].
Could you share your methods to read big data to R faster?
Though this is an odd question, but we

Is there a way?
Is there a way to make clients not see "hidden" shares? Like we have an

piecing together statements (macro?)
Hi All
I am pretty new to R but saw stata and sas's macro facilities and am looking for
how such things work in R.
I am trying to piece together a series of statements:
n = 5 #want to have it dynamic with respect to n
for (j in 1:n) {
eval(paste("x", j, "=x[", j, "]", sep=""))
}
I want the created statements 'x1=x[1]' immediately executed

connect to postgres db
I''ve followed the tutorial and just don''t get it.
How do I connect my ruby/rails sample app to my postgres database.
I did follow step 1-4 of the tutorial, I go to step 5:
and try the "rake" commmand and get this:
rake aborted!
no such file to load -- postgres
so I ran with -trace and get this:
