danish characters - installing R - linux redhat 8.0
I'm using R on a linux redhat 8.0 installation.
The special danish characters (ÅØÆæøå) are showed wrong on the screen.
Example:
yy<-matrix(c(0,2,1,1,8),ncol=1,dimnames=list(c("Brøæå","AGF","AB","Farum","FC-Kbh."
),c("Stemmer")))
barplot(yy[1:5],ylab=names(as.data.frame(yy)),main="5. grade.... ")
Any hints?

Windows 2000/2003 shares -> danish character problem
Hallo,
I know this problem is marked as solved, but here is another solution, a
solution which makes it possible still to use smbfs.
I have been working on a project connecting Skolelinux ltsp-server to a
windows 2000 server in norwegian secondary school and came across the same
problem ( that is one of the teachers and his students in my school did
first).
Searching the net I found the

Windows 2000/2003 shares -> danish character problem.
Hello all.
I have been given an assignment to mount a share automatically for each
user using a given Linux machine (Mandrake 10 in this case). This is
working fine, thanks to pam_mount, BUT:
The mounted share contains national characters like this: ? ? ?.
The problem I'm having is that when I mount these on Linux the '?' looks
like 'o' but cannot be accessed like that. It

Qustionmark in permission and Owner
Seen something similar when FUSE client died, but it marked the whole
mountpoint, not just some files.
Might be a desync or communication loss between the nodes?

Dear all,
I use Sweave to create my reports. my pdf output contains only NA's whenever my text contains special Danish characters like ø, ø and å. I have upgraded R from 2.13 to 2.15 and the scripts worked fine under R 2.13.
Sweave("Test.Rnw", encoding = "utf8")

I've got a cheap card from x100p.com for my pots line. I haven't found a
definate answer if it is possible to get danish(DTMF without signaling
before it). I have had a look at bug #9 but that is
written longtime ago.
I am running zaptel 1.4.7 and asterisk 1.4.14 BRIstuffed 0.4.0-test4 both

Listbox Question - Danish accounting program SummaSummarum
Dear Wine board. This is my first Post.
This wine bug has been bothering me for two years now so now i think it is time to try and have it fixed.
The first step is to figure out how to phrase my bug with the correct terms.
As I don't know the names of the widgets since I haven't developed windows-application for some 10 years, I hope that someone will look at my screencast which i recorded

Sweave'ing Danish characters
Hi,
I am writing an Sweave document and am using 'xtable' to make frequency tables of diagnoses of people undergoing cholecystectomy. Some of these diagnoses contain Danish characters ("?", "?", and "?"), and these characters are all garbled in the Latex document after I run Sweave. The odd thing is, everything looks absolutely right in the R console, and if

Assignment to a slot in an S4 object in a list seems to violate copy rules?
Dear R-developers
I came across the following issue, which I find strange:
setClass("A", representation(a = "numeric"))
B <- list()
myA <- new("A", a = 1)
B$otherA <- myA
B$otherA at a <- 2
myA at a
Assigning a new value to slot 'a' in the _copy_ of myA stored
in B$otherA changes the original value of myA -- this was
surprising to me, and I

work.
