Thanks Bart for your answer.
I did what you say force create mode = 0770 (default creat mask = 0744)
but the files that are created are still with the rights rwx rwx r--
Strange !

Client frequent disconnection + strange logs
Hello,
Although I've been using samba for years at my customers
office, I recently moved one on a HP E60 server running
RedHat 6.2.
The samba version is 2.0.6, untouched from the distribution.
They use a (weird) accounting software built on the top of
FoxPro, requiring a *huge* amount of open files. I accordingly
raised the values for files-nr and inode-nr and the stats seem
ok.
They have

2.1.7 shared folder index issued
Hi,
Sorry to bother the list again so soon after fixing my own problem, but
I now have this issue when clients try to view shared folders in
Thunderbird (v12). They can see the shared folder, but the first time
they click on in nothing happens. The second time they get an
authentication failure. The third or fourth time it finally loads the
shared mailbox, and I see this a few times in the

sambaPwdMustChange
Hi,
i have samba 3.0.10 installed with LDAP.
I noticed few days ago that my adminsitrator account has expired. I
think it's because of the sambaPwdMustChange field of LDAP. I changed
the passwd now i have the value 1108741705 in it. What does it mean
(when will i be prompted again to change my passwd) and do i have to put
in this field so that the password will never expire ?
Thanks for

doc files with attribut r for user
Hi,
i upgraded from Debian sarge to etch, so from samba 3.0.14a-3 to 3.0.24
When someone creates/modify a file the user attribut is set to r
(instead of rwx) so the next time a user opens the file is's on read only.
What can i do so that the file keeps the attribut rwx for the owner ?
Another question : the file has the rigthts : -r--rwx--- but although
the user is member of the group

problems with openssh-1.2.2 and pam_tacplus.so
Hello,
I have the following problem: I have installed openssh-1.2.2 on FreeBSD
3.4-RELEASE. I intentionally did not took the FreeBSD port because it does
not support PAM. My aim is to make sshd authenticate against a TACACS+
server using the pam_tacplus.so module shipped with FreeBSD. That works
perfectly with this line in my /etc/pam.conf:
login auth sufficient pam_tacplus.so

lme4 question
Hello,
I am trying to run the following model:
domi ~ type*ratio+((1|id)+(0+type|id)+(1|face_id)+(1|car_id))
My question is whether the data coding for "face_id" and "car_id" variables
is correct.
As you see on the following sample data structure, "type" is repeated
measure where 1=car, 0=face. Thus, I coded "face_id" as "0" when the type
is 1

glm and capture-recapture
Hello,
I am almost new in R, so perhaps my question will be silly.
I try to use R for analyzing capture-recapture data in epidemiology. A cancer registry has different sources of patients. We know in each list, patients already known in all other list. The aim is to use capture-recapture models for estimating the number of patients unknow of all the sources.
Because no order in sources, one

Smalls problems
Hello,
I install a server with Samba and the smb.conf in the enclosure. I've
got 50 users.
For one user, the home directory is not accessible !
For one computer (Win98), the command netuse Z: \\server\public doesn't
work (letter in use !)
Have you got any idea about this ?

[LLVMdev] examine dominating relationships between basic blocks
I am building code which needs to examine dominating relationships
between Basic Blocks.
I searched the Programming Guide
(http://llvm.org/docs/ProgrammersManual.html#common), it mentioned
briefly that such details will be covered in the future.
So, I am tuning to the list and ask.
Say, I have BasicBlock * a, *b, and need to know whether a DOM b, (a
DOMi b, a DOMp b, a PostDOM b), etc.

Maybe you should check for the path on the remote machine: it seems like
the remote shell can't find scp in its $PATH.
