SSH and winbind authentication on Solaris 10
I've googled my heart out, but I cannot see an example of ssh authentication
with Active Directory and winbindd, particularly on Solaris 10. I have it
working on Solaris 8 with telnet, but I'm trying to break my users of
telnet.
Has anyone got it working? If so, would you be willing to share the global
section of your smb.conf and pam.conf with me? Is there something I need to
put in one

Samba 3.0.11 won't compile on Solaris 8
Samba 3.0.11 won't compile on my Solaris 8 machine. It keeps getting
compile errors in clitar, although I am using exactly the same
configuration options as in Samba 3.0.10.
Here is the basic configuration from config.log
$ ./configure --with-ldap --with-ads --with-acl-support --with-pam
--with-krb5=/usr/local --enable-shared --without-gnu-ld
--with-mysql-prefix=/usr/local/mysql

"username map" parameter not working after upgrade to SAMBA 3
I have been using the "username map" parameter for some time on various
versions of Samba 2, and it has worked nicely. Last week I upgraded to
Samba 3 and integrated with Active Directory. Since I am using Solaris
8, and "nsswitch.conf" doesn't support winbindd, I am using the "add
user script" parameter to add users. What is happening is that users in

Sid S-0-0 is not in a valid format
Hi all,
I'm trying to get winbind going on a different PC to the one I've
already got working, but I can't figure out why winbind won't work on
this other PC. It mostly works (wbinfo works, net ads testjoin reports
OK) but "getent passwd" doesn't return anything. The winbind log
reports this:

New to Wine, Install Problem
Wine Enthusiasts,
I'm new to Wine and am having a problem installing some software. I
didn't see the application in question in the Application Database.
I'm hoping the problem is something simple and that perhaps a Wine guru
on the list can point me in the right direction.
I don't have Windoze installed on any of my boxes. Unfortunately I now
find myself needing to run a

2 subdirectories 1 controller?
Hi,
I''d like to create the following setup with RoR:
www.mywebsite.com/subdir1/order/create
www.mywebsite.com/subdir2/order/create
I''d like both urls to call the same action in the same controller. How can
I do this? I know this may be complicated, but I''m prepared to go a long
way.

Active Directory and Samba 3.0.20
This is a new install with a very novice samba user . We are running samba
3.0.20 on a Solaris 9 server. We have 3 domains controllers - 1 old NT and
1Win 2000 Active Directory and 1 Win 2003 Active Directory. The support
group that
administers the domains, have a limited skill set. If its not Windows they
have nothing to contribute.
The Domain Controllers are called

X-Sendfile doesn''t work
Hi everyone,
I try to use the "X-Sendfile" header, but it doesn''t work as expected.
In my controller:
path = "/home/bruno/file.tar.gz"
headers[''X-Sendfile''] = path
headers[''Content-Type''] = "application/octet-stream"
headers[''Content-Length''] = File.size(path)

That is definitely not free, it's not even zero cost after that
evaluation year. There don't even exist any players for it except from
Real ... i can't think of anything less free than that. :|
I suggest ditching all that crap and to

Real Server is *not* an free product!
It takes more than 500 Euro for a 50 Connections a time / Licence.

How to SELECT from multiple talbes with AR#find and associations?
So I want to SELECT from multiple tables, so as to be able to do
"SELECT FROM foo, bar WHERE foo.id=bar.id AND bar.baz=23".
How do I do it with AR#find?
Also, I need this for associations. has_many et. al. have :finder_sql,
which is nice, but feels like a Pyrrhic: it''s basically doing the
association in pure SQL, defeating the purpose of AR.

Network throughput slowdown - need help
HELP!!!
Over the last few weeks, my samba throughput has slowed down big-time. I
have checked out the hardware. Network Operations has checked out the port,
no joy.
I have copied the same file over NFS and and Samba. The throughput is about
half over Samba vs. NFS. The only error messages I see are the infamous
string_to_sid messages that I have seen many questions about, and absolutely

Conversión de variable categóricas a Númericas.
Cordial saludo.
