Does anyone have an idea about what is wrong?

APW New Driver Greyed Out
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have done this before, but for the life of me cannot get it to work today.
I am trying to setup SAMBA to allow non-technical users (one per site) to
add printer drivers as needed.
I am running Samba 3.0.24. Following are the relevant entries from smb.conf.
# workgroup = NT-Domain-Name or Workgroup-Name
pid directory = /var/run/
workgroup = BACKUPS

APW greyed out for printer admin
Greetings,
We're running samba 3.0.23 (ADS domain member) and cups 1.2.2 on debian

I have a user with the required priveleges to install and set print
driver options using the Add Printer Wizard:
# net rpc rights list 'SOMEDOMAIN\suarezry'

Greyed text in the background of a plot
Hi!
Is there any way of having a greyed ("ghosted") text
(i.e, 2006) in the background of a plot?
I'm making a dynamic plot and would like to show the
year of each time step as a big greyed text in the background.
(the idea comes from Hans Rosling video:

)
Thanks
Agus

Upgrading from 1.2.8 to 2.0.6: INBOX not selectable in Thubderbird (greyed and italic)
I recently upgraded from 1.2.8 to 2.0.6, I am using Maildir, and
Thunderbird is showing the INBOX grayed out and in italics, and does not
show new messages in it (it shows messages previously downloaded). This
occurs when Thunderbird is restarted (if I upgrade dovecot, TB keeps
working fine until I shut it down, and at next startup it greys out the
inbox). All the subfolders of INBOX work

Windows XP & greyed-out Guest user password prompt
Hi, we've been using Samba for a while, and are just now starting to
switch our desktop computers to Windows XP. We are having a problem
where connections to our Samba server fail, and the user is presented
with a password prompt asking for a password for user Guest. They can't
select a different user.
I've searched the Microsoft knowledgebase, and the Samba list archives,

3.6.1p2 plus buffer overflow vulnerabilities patch, sufficient?
Because of the high volume of discussion of various minor or somewhat
serious problems and incompatibilities introduced in the 3.7x series, I
prefer to stay with 3.6.1p2 plus the buffer overflow vulnerabilities patch
for a while.
Are there any other security changes introduced in the 3.7x series from
3.6.1p2 other than the back-ported patch for the buffer overflow
vulnerabilities announced a few

You do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the selected printer
I received this message when trying to connect and install a new printer
driver for a new printer on a Samba server under Windows XP:
"You do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the

The following TechNet article answers this problem - it's a policy
problem on the local machine:

Is Samba 4alpha7 sufficient for this project?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I am a longtime Samba 3 sysadmin, and I am trying to revisit an old problem.
For a while, I have been using Heimdal Kerberos and Samba 3 together
using OpenLDAP as the shared backend. For Linux users, this is perfect:
they log in once using Kerberos and they can access all of their
applications - IMAP, SMTP, Intranet, SVN, calendar - using their

ANOVA procedure on the sufficient statistics
Hi,
I have a two-way anova with unequal cell numbers that I want to analyze.
The problem is I don't have individual observations of the data.
I only have the sufficient statistics (mean, variance, # of observations) for each cell.
Is there any existing function in S-plus that would allow me to do aov() with the sufficient statistics?
The table is like

Will my CPU/RAM be sufficient?
Hello!
I'm new to asterisk and linux, so please don't blame me if I write silly
things :-)
I'd like to setup a system with IVR only.
I'll use a SIP gateway to receive calls from the outside world, and I'll
install asterisk on a dedicated linux server placed in another location
that will be permanently connected to the gateway through the internet.
I expect to have 8

[LLVMdev] LLVM tools sufficient to build the cfrontend for windows from MinGW?
The problem with building the frontend on Windows is that gcc cannot be
bootstrapped using Window's native compiler -- i.e. VC++ -- unlike every
other platform. It can be built on Windows using gcc, of course, but
even then only if the entire GNU environment is present.
The real problem is that the bootstrapped frontend binaries built using
gcc may not properly link with LLVM binaries built
