rsync exclude files based on filesize
Is there a way to set rsync excludes by filesize? I already do
excludes by a wild card on the name but I needed something a bit more
sophisticated this time around.
I have files with the extension .nc (netcdf files) which tend to be
huge before the users post-process them. I want all files with a .nc
extension excluded if they are, say, 100+ MB in size.
Is there a way to do this via rsync?

rsync limit to filesize
Hi,
I am trying to rsync about 460 GB of data from one server to another server
using rsync 2.5.6. I started the transfer at about 11:45am, and it has been
about 4 1/2 hrs since then and it is still building the file list.
Here's the command I run:
`rsync -avW --numeric-ids --delete --exclude-from=/tmp/EXCLUDE
192.168.0.75::vgroup00/* /vgroup00/`;
I am trying to sync from server A

Understanding the contents of virsh dump --memory-only
Hello,
I was trying to understand the ELF file generated by the virsh dump
(--memory-only) command. I have successfully generated a dump of the VM
memory using this command.
I specifically am trying to understand the loadable segments of this ELF
file.
I ran readelf -a <filename> to get the information that I need. Below shows
the details of the loadable segments in a much better format

FileSize changing in GlusterNodes
Hi,
When I upload files into the gluster volume, it replicates all the files to both gluster nodes. But the file size slightly varies by (4-10KB), which changes the md5sum of the file.
Command to check file size : du -k *. I'm using glusterFS 3.3.1 with Centos 6.4
This is creating inconsistency between the files on both the bricks. ? What is the reason for this changed file size and how can

Newbie question here:
How can I extend the (awesome!) file_column plugin to provide methods for
content_type, filesize, and original file name? I know I should be able to do
this, but I can''t quite figure it out. Please help.
Thanks.

filesize limitation in CentOS or exim?
Hallo,
today I had a surprising situation. Exim stopped. It's a German centos 5.3 64 Bit installation so the messages are partial in German.
Then I tried a restart:
[root at centos ~]# service exim restart
exim beenden: [FEHLGESCHLAGEN]
exim starten: /bin/bash: line 1: 6596 Die maximale Dateigr??e ist ?berschritten

The maximum number of samples in a FLAC stream is 64 GigaSamples. It
would be impossible to convert such files with any other format
besides CAF. In other words, FLAC supports longer audio recordings
than every existing file format except

Problem with fileupload on SMB share
Hello,
i have got a serious problem with fileuploads on SMB shares.
Iam implementing a program that watches a folder for new file and show status e.g. incoming, growing, complete. With FTP and simply copying from another folder on the same box there is no problem. But if i use smb to copy a file to that folder, from the first moment to full filesize is displayed. In this case all my functions

How to calculate exact bitrate/filesize w/ Vorbis? Plz help
Hi,
I'm quite familiar w/ mp3 cbr/abr/vbr encoding, as well as mpeg4 (cbr/vbr,etc). And I can always calc the bit rate for a given file size with:
file size * 8000 / length in seconds = kbits/sec
Works great w/ mpeg4 + mp3.
BUT FOR THE LIFE OF ME: I cannot get oggenc (1.0x version) to give me the file size I want. I calc. it with the above formula, and nothing comes out right. Then I do

2.2.8a-1, Raidzone, filesize > ~17.6GB
I am working with a Raidzone tech to solve a problem with our Raidzone
NAS. The tech told me he has not yet posted to any Samba list about this,
and gave me permission to do so.
Using XCOPY from either NT4SP6a or W2KSP3, over varying network paths, a
file of 18,490,235K-1 bytes or smaller will copy to the NAS successfully in
about 45 minutes, but a file of 18,490,256K-1 bytes or larger will

If I run this on the client side

File.size() on Uploaded Images Fail
I am checking the file size of an uploaded file and storing it in a filesize
column. It will work just fine when the user uploads any files other than
images (jpg,png,gif).
Word, Excel, Powerpoint, .zip and more all work fine.
This is my model asset.rb that handles the file upload.
