I have installed samba 2.2.9 to use SSL but i am having problems testing the
config.
I was thinking that this could be something that i have missed on the PC
side but im not that familiar with Samba so any help would be much
appreciated.

DES, eBones and crypt availble for non-US!
Hello World!
(In particular, that part of it ouside the USA and Canada)
I have (with official sanction of the organisation concerned)
a LEGAL site for the distribution of crypt and Kerberos code.
The secure code (crypt) is _identical_ to the US code. It originated in
South Africa and Australia, and has never been to the US, so it is totally
kosher. The Kerberos (eBones actually) code stared out

Could not find working SSLeay?
I'm installing openssl 0.9.5a and openssh 2.3.0p1 on an Ultra 5 running
Solaris 8 with the latest cluster patch. Openssl installed without any
problems. When I do a configure for openssh I get:

I've reinstalled openssl and everything is there. As a note I've

Samba 2.2.7a Large File Corruption
I have been dealing with an issue for the last several weeks. I have a
large HP/Compaq Alpha server running 2.2.7a. I have only recently installed
this version to fix a problem of transferring files over 2 GB. I am now
having another problem where it seems that while it will send the file, it
is corrupting it. The file that it is corrupting is an output file from
another process and the output

Samba version and ports
I have been unable to find what version of Samba is running on a
particular HP/UX server. The information is not included in the
../samba/lib/smb.conf where I am used to finding it. Also, I can not
tell what port they have configured on this box any tips?

configure: error: Could not find working SSLeay / OpenSSL libraries
Hi,
I've built and installed the openssl-0.9.1c package but openssh-2.1.1p1
configure can't apparently 'see' the package. I've tried adding the install
directory to LD_LIBRARY_PATH, using CFLAGS, LDFLAGS, LIBS etc. The 'missing'
rand.h is present n the included path shown in the config.log output below.
What am I missing? Any help would be very much appreciated.

checking for OpenSSL/SSLeay directory.....
This is a request for a little more detailed
information regarding the fix for the 1.2.2p1 on
Solaris 7. Jay referenced missing quotes in the
configure.in file, however I was unable to match his
reference.
I have installed openssl with rsa support in the
/usr/local/ssl directory and set the LDFLAGS, LIBS and
CFLAGS env variables before configuring (with egd pool
option). I have also tried

Hi All,
We're trying to get R with the standard gui loaded onto CentOS 4, and
under certain users R will not render certain graphics. When logged in
as root the graphics render, but under the restricted user they don't.
The graphics don't render with the error:

openssl-0.9.7a-33.12
Why is RH using such an outdated version of OpenSSL ?
I understand that they may have back-ported the fix but I just tried
installing Net::SSLeay on a Centos 3.3 box and it wouldn't install, saying
that the openssl version was old and suggested I get 9.7b or later?
How are you handling this problem? I am resorting to recompiling OpenSSL
9.7d .
Thanks,
Dave

SSL
When will samba include support for a more up to date implementation of SSL
such as openssl (http://www.openssl.org). SSLeay does not appear to have
been updated since mid 1998.

Found a bug in the OpsnSSH configuration script
[I'm cc:ing openssl-users at openssl.org, because questions about this

There's a problem that several people who installed OpenSSL to be able
to uyse OpenSSH have faced:

I don't recall how SSLeay was installed, but for OpenSSL, there's a
glitch in the way it tries to find
