Hi Everyone, the new 3.0.4 Samba installation seems to work find except that from time to time but at least a couple of times a day one or more smbd processes start running at 20%-40% CPU each and 6 nscd processes then share the remaining CPU power. System 70%-80% users the rest 20%-30%. Load rises fast to over 4. I'm sure that each such process is just idling, but why does it engage so much

Hi, i agree with Stefan. I have the same problem with Win2K Client and SAMBA Server. But on my situation i have one PC that i can make a connect and all the other not. Alle workstation are on the same group, are all in the same SubNet; but i can?t see my SAMBA _ Server so well like on this machine that is working. So is there any other problems on SAMBA ? it did help to create the separate vectors. The problem is, I would like to continue working with each vector on its own and make some further analysis. For that i need to allocate each vector in the filePatterns a unique name, which I just can't do. I'm not so great in R loops and the help over the net regards for loops in R is quite rare. I'm really thankful for every help.
