Smart cards, mostly solved
So, it *seems* to be working, pretty much. I needed to install
opensc, openct pcsc-lite, pcsc-lite-openct, and ctapi-common will be
installed as a dependency.
I *removed* coolkey and esc, which depended on it. 100% of the time, they
misidentifed the new/current US federal ID PIV-II cards as coolkey cards,
and popped up this "phone home" window, then a "manage smartcards"

firefox unable to load pkcs11 module
Hi Tony,
Have you solved this problem yet?I took another approach and used CACkey which supportsUS Government PIV cards including the CAC.? In my case I set it up on Linux Mint but there is an rpm version of CACKey for 32 or 64 bit Centos. Here is the process I went through.
- setup CAC card by following instructions on:

sudo apt-get install

Wanted: smartcard with ECDSA support
Hi,
I'm interested in extending OpenSSH's PKCS#11 code to support ECDSA
keys, but have so far been unable to find anyone who can sell me
a smartcard that supports it.
They certainly exist - AFAIK it's required by the US PIV standard,
but obtaining cards that support it in single digit quantities
seems all but impossible.
Can anybody on this list help? I'd want 2-6 cards/tokens

predict.lm removes rownames for a single row. Why?
predict.lm keeps row names when working from several rows in
newdata, but always removes rowname from a single row.
The rownames are removed by the line in predict.lm
predictor <- drop(X[, piv, drop = FALSE] %*% beta[piv])
What is the reason for that decision? I usually want to
retain the row names.
tmp <- data.frame(x=1:4, y=c(1,3,2,5))
tmp.lm <- lm(y ~ x, data=tmp)
tmp.new <-

prediction error for test set-cross validation
Hi,
I have a database of 2211 rows with 31 entries each and I manually split my
data into 10 folds for cross validation. I build logistic regression model
as:

Rad +BrDn + BRDS + PrinFin+ SkRtr + NpRtr + SkThck +TrThkc +

predict.glm & newdata
Hi all -
I'm stumped by the following
mdl <- glm(resp ~ . , data = df, family=binomial, offset = ofst) WORKS
yhat <- predict(mdl) WORKS
yhat <- predict(mdl,newdata = df) FAILS
Error in drop(X[, piv, drop = FALSE] %*% beta[piv]) :
subscript out of bounds
I've tried without offset, quoting binomial. The offset variable ofst IS in df.

I am running samba on an 800 Duron / 640MB PC2100 DDR Ram / 40 GB IBM Deskstar with slackware 8 / 2.2.17 Optimized for Duron.
Whenever I copy files to the server, my load average gets to be about 6.0-8.0! On the 700 Duron we have at the office where I work, (same specs except it has 768MB of SDRAM and a RAID Array). Would the reason my box runs so slow be because its swap drive and the

predict (PR#2685)
There is a bug in `predict' whereby the order of variables sometimes gets
re-arranged compared to the original fit, and then disaster results.
Specifically, the 'variables' and 'predvars' attributes of a 'terms' object
get out of synch. This only happens when the terms in the original formula
get re-ordered during fitting:

problems with a pri (E1)
Hi all,
Our asterisk PBX, randomly restarts all the channels of the E1 connection. It sends this message
"There is no D-Channel, using channel 16 anyway".Then the asteisk recive (or it thinks it
recives) yellow alarms at all the B-channels, after that it restart all the channels. When
restarting the B-channels it cut all the conversations that is handling at that moment. Does

Question about DSP in Digium card
Hello.
I have a TE405P Digium Card (4 E1's) with ISDN protocol and I need to find
out if there is any limitation about DSP capabilities, I mean, I am not sure
how many phone calls my Digium card supports, simultaneously. The calling
flow goes from IAX <-> ISDN.
I am running this card into CPU like this:
- Micro PIV 3.0
- 1Gbyte Memory
Thanks.

GUI bug (PR#1711)
Full_Name: Socrates Alikhanidi
Version: 1.5.1
OS: Windows 2000
Submission from: (NULL) (133.15.3.28)
During resizing of 'R Console' windows the fatal error of forbidden memory
access appears.
To reproduce that with a guaranty, resize windows by mouse with small steps.
Probably the faster computer is, the earlier that event appears. I have PIV 1.8
GHz.
Waiting time was near 1 second.

CentOS 6.7->6.8, ssh-add issue
Folks,
I am perplexed. I updated my workstation at work Wed before I left,
from 6.7 to 6.8. Then, yesterday, I went to use ssh-add -s
libcoolkeypk11.so, which I've done many times before to add the certs
from my PIV card... and 100% of the time if fails, letting me
SSH_AGENT_FAILURE, cannot add card.
Now, using a script called sccr, which uses my public and private key
to generate a

Centos-4 Kernel pannic
Hi all,
We are running a new Centos-4 server, and it has kernel panicked on us 4
times in the last month. After the first kernel panic we hooked up a
serial console to the server and captured the output in order to have a
record of what happens. I've included the error messages from the last
time it locked up... but it doesn't really mean much to me. Anybody have
any ideas what might be

I failed to make Samba 3.0.0 /3.0.2a working from Windows side on the

Centos as a file storage/backup destination (Advice)
Hello all,
am considering setting up centos as a file storage/ backup destination for Mac's TimeMachine.
all my users would get synced directly to specific folders on this machine..
needless to say space is of importance. where every user has an average 200 GB of data to b synced (entire system)...
I have 27 users hence 27 *200 equals to almost 6 TB so I was considering getting either 4 *

Re-adding PKCS#11 key in ssh-agent produces "agent refused operation" error.
Hi all,
Thanks for all your hard work! I was particularly excited to see
FIDO/U2F support in the latest release.
I'd like to make the following bug report in ssh-agent's PKCS#11 support:
Steps to reproduce:
1. Configure a smart card (e.g. Yubikey in PIV mode) as an SSH key.
2. Add that key to ssh-agent.
3. Remove that key from ssh-agent.
4. Add that key to ssh-agent.
Expected results:
