There is Samba4 4.7.2 acting as standalone server on Ubuntu 14.04.x64.
Also there is Windwos 2008R2 SP1 acting as DC in the same network.
And also Windows XP/7 are in this network.

accessible from Windos 2008R2.
As logon to Windows clients is accessible from Windows 2008R2.

rails color picker?
Hello,
Is there a color picker somewhere that is integrated with rails?
Specifically a I''m hoping for a full 24-bit picker with sliders, etc,
that can interact with rails objects, such as updating a form that
rails has setup, or just injecting it''s chosen value into an input
value that rails has set up to put back into an object after
submission.
Thanks,

Windows XP client apps crash/hang when starting file-picker
Hello.
I have a small and simple local network with a Samba server (v.3.6.6 on
Debian Wheezy) and Windows clients, a mix of Windows 2000 and XP
(32-bit) and 7 (64-bit). In recent times, possibly since I upgraded the
server OS version, but most likely before, the Windows XP clients (but
not 2000 or 7) have all experienced problems where if any application
tries to open a file-picker (for

Re: prototype-based color picker
Great job!
Would suggest either adding a transparent div on top of the images or
storing the images as background to prevent accidentally dragging the
image rather than the slider.

Calendar date picker for use with rails.
Howdy folks,
As I was putting together a rough form for a rails app, I got to
thinking how much smoother (in my siytuation) a little calendar widget
would be than the default date picker selects.
Does anyone know if such a thing exists ?
I suspect it would have to be somewhat designed with rails in mind to
populate the right kind of post params for convenient use at the
controller end.

[LLVMdev] Issue with incomplete type debug info in recent release_35
Hello,
disclaimer/ Apologies if this is the wrong llvm/clang mailing list; please,
direct me to the right one if needed. /disclaimer
I've been experiencing issues with incomplete type info when debugging code
generated by clang 3.5.0 from the recent release_35 branch.
Generally, the problem manifests itself as the inability to examine any
std::string parameter to a function, in either gdb

ssh attack
Hi,
I get ssh connect attempts all the time, to my servers at home and at
work. I've noticed lately they come from a certain ip address, hitting
every 3 or 4 seconds, trying 50 or 100 different user names and
passwords. And I get these sweeps from 2 or 3 ip addresses a day. I
guess this is an automated attempt to guess a user/pass and break into a
system.
I tried to secure ssh better by

I discovered the situation.
When attempting to logon from Windows 2008R2 to Samba4 is made we can see
in Samba smbd log the following important for understanding the situation

Can't create machine accounts or join domain (automatically or manually with scripts or pdbedit)
Hello,
I've seen other folks posting with this problem, but I think my issue is a
bit different (thus the super long subject).
The environment is Solaris 9 09/05, running Samba 3.0.22/Sun DS 5.2/idealx
scripts 0.9.1, but I can translate openldap/linux/samba-ese if you think of
a solution that would apply in that environment.
Anyway - my core problem is an inability to add machine accounts

Wine broken on Samba shares due to colon ":" filenames
Not sure when this problem first cropped up as I went through several
upgrades and changes this year with my Samba servers and Ubuntu
workstation.
I have a Samba server (Version 3.3.2-0.33.fc11) and I am running Ubuntu
(Karmic Koala latest) on my workstation. Earlier this year I added
pam_mount.so so that I could automount my home directory from the Samba
server when I logged into my

BartPE over PXE
Turns out that I did not have a corrupted ISO file and tftp-hpa is not
at fault. I had saved the winnt.sif file in a unix format and for
reasons that are not clear this was producing the error message telling
me txtsetup.sif is missing or corrupt. One would think the parsing of
the file would cause the inability to locate the ISO file to be
downloaded since that information is the last line in the
