RFT: Use Greek semicolons for comdlg32's printer status enumeration?
Request For Translators<g>
So what I've gathered from Wikipedia is that the Greek language does not
use semicolons as a separator for enumerations:

Data() and CSV files
Hello,
For reasons I don't understand, data() imports CSV (Comma-Separated
Values) as if they were delimited by semicolons instead of commas. (Are
semicolon-separated Comma-Separated-Value files common somewhere?) Given
that this is the case, if I choose to put comma-delimited CSV files in
my data directory, what is the preferred method of loading these into
memory?

Typo in Samba HOWTO collection example 19.2
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
Since the samba-docs mailing list is closed, I figured this was the best
place to post this.
I believe there's a typo in example 19.2 ("Overriding global CUPS
settings for one printer") of the official Samba HOWTO collection. The
"print command" parameter in the [special_printer] section contains
several echo commands,

How to test WINS functionality and swat question
Hi,
The two servers I will mention are HP-UX 10.20 with samba-2.0.3
I've setup a dual-homed host and face two challenges. All of a sudden
swat has stopped serving web pages. I did no radical changes to the
smb.conf file (via swat) and now I get a "web server found, waiting for
answer" message and it just stays there, I can find no relevant error
message in the log files.

Fragmentation problem: Archive logs on ocfs1 and ocfs2
Hello All,
I have few questions around our use of ocfs1/2 for archive logs on 10G
RAC.
Is there an article out there describing why fragmentation is a special
concern for ocfs1/2?
Are there ways to remove fragmentation short of rebuilding the fs?
Is there a way to estimate how often we will need to rebuild the fs?
Any special tools/packages available to handle this issue?
Regards,
Pradeep.

A read.table mystery (data for Framemaker Mac)
Dear list,
I have to read some clinical data a file coming from Filemaker on
Macintosh (Ugh ! But it could be worse and come from Excel...).
Exporting via Excel is out of question since the file has 467 columns
and 121 lines (+ headers), which is out of reach of Excel. So I received
an "mer"" files, which is what Filemaker exports as a text file.
It seems to be a semicolon

syslog
Hello Puppet Users,
The following is the result of my first attempt to create a useful
component definition of something I wanted Puppet to manage. Instead of
just copying over "precompiled" syslog.conf files, I thought it would be
more useful if I could specify the elements of the syslog.conf file.
(Ultimately, I think this should be defined as a type.)
I hit a few hurdles and I

build problem on SuSE SLES 8 SP3 (s390) - struct statfs redefinition?
Has anyone had any problems building on SuSE SLES 8 for s390 with all

Basic regression output question
Hi
Probably a very basic question:
I am regressing a matrix of 50 response variables against a matrix of 10
factors using the lm function. This gives me an object with the output
for 50 regressions, as required. How do I now "use" the data?
For example, below is some code that generates sample data and shows me
the summary statistics for regression 50. If I want to access the data,

Regression and data types
Dear All
I have three data sets, X1, X2 and Y. X1 is data, X2 and Y were
generated in (different) R programs. All three vectors have one column
of 60 data points.
I am using the code lm(Y~X1)$coef and lm(Y~X2)$coef. The first returns
two values, an intercept and a slope, but the second returns 60 values.
I suspect there is something in the "type" of X2 such that it forces the
