XP gives Access denied for domain logon
Samba 3.0.2a-Debian I have a somewhat working PDC server, but have some difficulties adding more users. I managed to create a user, anna, a couple of days ago, it she works fine from my wireless laptop. To sort out some problems I have with the logon.bat script [see sambalist "Netlogon script executes randomly"], I am also including my desktop computer to the domain. I've run

XP gives Access denied for domain logon - solved, but with new problem
I found the solution to the Access Denied errormessage. When I change my computer from workgroup to domain I have to use user root when giving username and password. I used frode, a non priviliged user, and that?s why it failed. I still have another problem though. When I try to log on with user anna on my laptop it works fine, but if I try user anna on my stationary, or user frode on either

Getting stats for logged in domain users?
Samba 3.0.2a, Debian linux, 2.6.x kernel, PDC server, WinXP clients. Hi, I'm setting up a samba server for one of our branch offices. During the monitoring of the server I'd like to be able to view how many domain users, and which ones, are logged in on the domain at particular times. The users use WinXP. Is there any way of getting number of logged on domainusers, their IP's or

Cannot sync browser list
Hi, Samba 3.0.2a, Debian linux, 2.6.x kernel, PDC server, WinXP clients I'm setting up a PDC server, and it's also acting as a browse master. A few days ago the computer was given the IP adress 10.0.0.6 by our DHCP server. Since then I've changed the network to use 192.168.1.x IP's instead, and the server has now got 192.168.1.3 as it's IP. But, even though I've

Netlogon script executes randomly
Hi, I have set up Samba 3.0.2a on my Debian server as a PDC. I use a Windows XP Pro laptop to log on wirelessly, and things seems to be working fine except with the logon.bat script. I have added "logon script = logon.bat" and the netlogon share in my smb.conf. The logon.bat has executed a few times (perhaps 10% of the times), but there is obviously a problem. The logon.bat is

Updated status on UEFI compliant version of the pxechn-module
Hi, Ok, when can we then anticipate pxe-chaining to be possible with syslinux under the UEFI architecture? Are there any plans to implement both correct interfacing to UEFI as well as the issue of arbitrary UEFI images? Haven't tried to read the UEFI-specification as it is sub 3000-pages long, so I am a bit in the dark as to the changes in architecture from BIOS to UEFI. It has been

Dovecot 2.0 and QUOTA capability
Hello, In Dovecot 2.0 the QUOTA capability is not announced until after the user has logged in. This breaks quota-support in some webmail clients (Roundcube, Atmail, probably more). After searching the lists, I see that this was fixed as a bug back in 1.0, but I guess it crept back in. :-) 1.0.7: * OK Dovecot ready. . Sieve too rfc compliant ;-)
It seems we have a few email addresses that are not RFC 5322 compliant, and now that we've started using sieve these are failing. The problem is that we have a few addresses with leading, trailing or double dots in the local part: jan..frode at tanso.net .janfrode at tanso.net janfrode. at tanso.net I believe these has been working fine with everything else in dovecot (lda, lmtp, imap,

dsync convert Maildir -> mdbox, separators in subscriptions file
Hello, I'm playing around with Dovecot 2.0 beta 4. If I use dsync to convert a users mail stored in Maildir format to mdbox format, the subscriptions file in the new mdbox is created using the wrong mailbox separator ('.') leading to folders within folders not being readable by clients using the subscription feature. dovecot 0.99.14 and imaps (SSL) "hangs"
Hello, I just decided to try dovecot again after a long pause, and I must say that I am very impressed with the speed and resource usage, even when running with UNIX mailboxes. However, I have a problem with SSL. Every two minutes the connection is frozen, and the client has to reconnect after it times out waiting for a response from the server. My IMAP client fetches all headers, and then

Hi, I have browsed through your syslinux archives and see that the issue of an UEFI compliant version of the pxechn-module has come up several times: http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2014-August/022611.html http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2015-March/023320.html http://www.syslinux.org/archives/2015-September/024231.html Now the issue as I understand it is that the original pxechn-module
