RE: [Asterisk-Dev] Open source time card application for Asterisk
A little bird whispers to me: Don't expect this particular trick to be un-addressed by various legislatures forever. That window is closing, and the bottom of the window looks very much like a guillotine blade - don't have your head in the wrong place. In any case, as has been discussed on -users before (which is where this thread should go, and thus where I'm relegating it)

Moving client to lower bitrate...
Hello all, I'm trying to put up an Icecast server for our radio station, WHUS, here at the University of Connecticut. Our Icecast server is running under Debian 3.0, and was installed as a stable Debian package. I'm using Liveice to convert our on-air broadcast to two streams, via a soundcard -- one for a 128kbps stream (mountpoint = highrate) and another 24kbps stream (mountpoint =

Just installed psad and am testing it. This morning I awoke to an email saying: [-] You may just need to add a default logging rule to the /sbin/ip6tables ''filter'' ''INPUT'' chain on hydra. Old kernel bug back in CentOS 6.10?
I updated a few hypervisors and their VMs to CentOS 6.10 on Monday; today I awoke to an alert saying all VMs are down. It looks like a very old bug crept back in. The machine is a ProLiant DL380 G7 with Xeon X5675 and 96 GB, running half a dozen smallish VMs. Hypervisor and all VMs have kernel 2.6.32-754.2.1.el6.x86_64. Around the time the VMs must have gone down, there are quite a few error

WINEPS insists on using LPT1:
I'm running Wine 20010305. I am using the WINEPS driver and trying to direct it to various printers on various ports. It seems to output to port LPT1 regardless of the port I specify in the registry and win.ini. Here is a simplified scenario, in which I define only one printer, on LPT2. Can any one tell me what is happening? Follow-up question: Am I limited to 9 printers, on LPT1-LPT9?

Minor patches for builds against ancient platforms
I was recently asked to upgrade some neolithic aged software (UW-IMAP, sendmail 8.12.x, apache 1.3, amongst other horrors). The box is physically remote, so an aggressive "new flush" wasn't an option. I've been able to upgrade the compiler to gcc-3.4, openssl to 1.0.2k, glibc, php to something in the 5.4-branch, etc. I have CLucene working, even. I know should take a shotgun

Help debugging lockup when running wine
Hey all, I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 with Wine 1.1.42 (distributed through the Ubuntu package manager), and I'm getting complete lockups when running SimCity 4. This also happened before when running WoW, but I switched games so did not completely debug that one. So anyway, basically after playing for 20-60 minutes I get complete lockups, only thing that happens is blinking caps lock

ZaphodHeads: Still works on newer cards?
[Posting again. The mailing list doesn't like HTML links.] Hello, As I reported in this(*) bug, the Nouveau ZaphodHeads option (separate X-displays for the two heads of a single GPU) stopped working on my GeForce 7600 GT (NV4B/G73) when I upgraded from Fedora 23 to 25. I'm really keen on getting it back, because it's been painful losing the independent sets of virtual desktops, plus
