Samba AD-DC in the cloud
This turns into a non-samba discussion pretty quickly - but I'll chime in. I agree with Sven - that's true. The real problem, as I see it is that the interests of the client and the vendor often don't really align - at least not in the short term. The vendor wants to do things as cheaply as possible so they make money now. You [the client] want them to provide reliable service. Yet

For or Against
As a librarian and a father, I have both a professional and a parental interest in democracy and access to information. In addition to democracy, libraries and education are related to other concerns. For example, our physical and mental health is critical to our ability to learn and to process information fully. Suppose a worldwide referendum was held on a proposal for single-payer global

RE: pronunciation? -- loving CentOS doesn't mean you have to bash Red Hat
From: Martyn Drake <martyn at drake.org.uk> > When I did try that support, it didn't give me a favourable > impression. However, that's just my opinion. It's good enough that HP is losing lots of clients because HP (among other tier-1 OEMs short of IBM) is finding that Linux their support is sub-par. Even Dell and others are just farming support out to Red Hat. >

A Hardware Observation (and Thank You To John Pierce)
A few days ago, John Pierce made a comment about Intel network cards and that they are more reliable and a better overall card than most. (This is not exactly what he said, but rather I am paraphrasing) My small cluster of servers all had generic PCI nics in them (I was not using any onboard NICS). Today, I replaced the NICS with Intel Pro 1000 PCI-E NICS and replaces our small 5 port TP-Link GB
