Hello, I am testing 3.0.1 on solaris 8. Solaris 9 + Samba 3.0.2rc1 problem
I thought I got them working and it turned out I still have the same problem. This is a domain member server, joined to NT PDC. These commands are all working Ok: wbinfo -u, wbinfo -g, getent passwd, except getent group. It always stops at some point, I noticed these log messages: [2004/01/19 13:09:56, 10] nsswitch/winbindd.c:winbind_client_read(458) client_read: read 0 bytes. Need 1568 more for

Raw Hangup 69.73.19.178:4569
Can anyone tell me why I keep getting these messages from IAXTEL? It does appear to register since I get lines like this: 2005-04-30 04:26:42 VERBOSE[1644]: -- Registered to '69.73.19.178', who sees us as 67.182.152.242:4569 But what is this? I don't think IAXTEL is working for me, since I can't dial 800 #s through it when I copy the iaxtel.com instructions. 2005-05-20

some problems with samba 3.0.2rc1
Hello list, I upgraded from Samba3.0.1 to Samba3.0.2rc1 and got now following problems: LaserJet printers 6MP (sorry, we have no other LaserJet printermodels) now couse the application to crash. With Samba3.0.1 there was no probem with that kind of Printers. I use the RPM's from ftp.sernet.de for SLES8. Printingsystem is CUPS, with raw printing and serverbased printerdrivers. Has anyone

Problem adding a machine on the domain with samba-3.0.2rc1
Hi, I've a problem adding a machine in the domain. The pdc is a samba 3, the client a win2k pro. Accounts are stored in ldap... I've tryed with administrator and root (uid=0, gid=0) but no success :-( On the wks it gives me "user name or password incorrect" but on the logs I've everything correct. In ldap the machine is created as top, inetOrgPerson and posixAccount ... no

cross-realm spnego issue in 3.0.2rc1
Hi, I just installed 3.0.2rc1 for testing, and I came across a problem with cross-realm authentication. I joined samba to our active directory domain, and I can see that it has host and cifs principals in windows kerberos. Our organization's primary kerberos realm (CEDE.PSU.EDU) is an MIT kerb5 realm, and we have a one-way non-transitive trust such that windows (server 2003) kerberos

3.0.2rc1, LDAP, Solaris 9 and secondary group problem - Bug 395?
Hi, we have tested Samba 3.0.0 and 3.0.1 with LDAP-Support (--with-ldap) on Solaris 8 and it worked fine. The machine authenticates against an OpenLDAP server. Patch 108993-23 is applied and we use native Sun LDAP client modules. On Solaris 9 we ran into problems with secondary groups. Users cannot access files if the rights are based on a secondary group and if this information is stored on

Rsync Problems, Possible Addressed Bug?
I got this mail from a cronjob and can't figure out what is causing rsync to crap out on me. I received the message at 5:03, when the cron job is scheduled to run at 4:00, so total runtime is approximately an hour. Machine that is fetching the files is a low-end G3 running Yellowdog 3.01, rsync --version 2.5.5. It has only 128 megs of ram, but isn't doing anything else. Transfers are
